Usually longlazysundays are filled with zest and excitement, however today i feel nothing.
I didn't go to church so that could be it.
Mr. Pancakes had to work so that could be it too.
My iphone is still acting up, could that be it?
But honestly i feel like doing NOTHING!
Last couple of days, i have been working a lot of hours so i feel tired. And i have so much to do!
I have to go grocery shopping,
cook for tonight and the week,
clean the kitchen and bathroom,
vacuum,
get my nails done,
call to wish friend/family for their birthday
check-in with my nephew about a bursary contest
write some notes for work,
do some banking online,
call AT&T
visit family and friends,
do something to my hair for the week,
get my workout on (for the first time in months).
But nothing!
I have no motivation whatsoever!
It's not even laziness, i just want to lay in the bed the whole day and do none of the things i have listed above. But then that's not being a good woman, friend, aunt, employee or wife is it?
This desire to want to do nothing worries me a bit.
Could i have the blues?
I am usually in a good mood so it concerns me a bit to be so blahhh!
Maybe i need to just get out of bed and just do something!
It doesn't help that i am cuddled in my bed writing this post, haven't showered and letting out a lot of sighs!
Maybe after i publish post,
i will just get up and do something with myself.
Blast some gnarls barkley...they always get me going!
I do hope this helps as i sigh deeply.
Hope the rest of you enjoy your longlazysunday!
How do you deal with the blues?
ahhh, i have all that to do today too but i am feeling quite lazy!
ReplyDeletei listen to music ... that always helps me kick the blues! ice cream too but that isn't good for the figure, haha.
Aww babe...once in a while a day like this is okay but it's concerning if it's day after day...so be careful. Go getcha nails done - that is ALWAYS fun!
ReplyDeleteOh how I could make list very similar to yours but I motivation is very close to having none. We watch NASCAR on Sundays and it seems like naptime should be mandatory for the grown ups :)
ReplyDeleteNow following your cute blog from todays hop...come over and say hello :)

It must be the hot weather, chill and watch old movies. That's what I am doing today after a busy weekend :)! Enjoy your day of doing NOTHING!
ReplyDeleteYour body probably just needs to rest. I say lay down, don't move and take the break. Text or make a short call wishing your love ones happy birthday and do whatever else you can do in bed. Everything else (unless it's a high priority) do another day. Don't let the feeling get you down and give you the blues. Enjoy it and get your rest to start tomorrow. And....Thanks for the comment! I needed a change and it was the best I could find in a free layout lol! I'm glad you like it.
ReplyDeleteToday you have permission to be a slacker for a day and not feel guilty.
ReplyDeleteTomorrow you can go back to being Superwoman.
I wish you a lovely day.
Maybe you just need a break. A day to be blah and not worry about anything else. It's ok to do that sometimes so don't be to down on yourself about it. There is always next weekend to get busy. Hope you get your energy back.
ReplyDeletethanks ladies for all your lovely comments..much appreciated...there is this level of guilt about taking a lazy day but it's so needed some days and today was such a day! again thanks for understanding!
ReplyDeleteI took an all-afternoon nap! Thanks for joining in the Planet Weidknecht Weekend Hop! I hope you'll come back again soon.
ReplyDeleteSometimes you just have one of those days where you just feel funky. You must get up and get out and that usually makes you feel better. Feel better and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteSometimes the best days are when you do absolutely nothing. We need days like those every once in a while in order to rejuvenate. I love lazy days.
ReplyDeleteHello Mrs. Pancakes,
ReplyDeleteI just stumbled upon your blog and I read this post and it reminds me of a conversation with a girlfriend of mine. It is important to have lazy days...days where you do absolutely nothing. Sometimes, my husband and I share this day together. Believe me, it works. Your body and mind needs a day of freedom. Enjoy it! Don't feel guilty about it. We don't schedule anything that day, no exercise, no cooking, no fixing something in the house, no shopping. It's quite liberating.
Cheers! Off to read some more of your posts.
