Inception: The Husband Edition!

Happy Monday, Ladies!
Over the weekend, I watched Inception, you know, the movie with
yummy and all grown-up Leo (Leonardo DiCaprio) and loved it.
I am probably late to the party but oh well!
i am not much of a sci-fi kind of girl but i thought i would give it a chance.
Initially, the movie was weird and confusing
but then eventually i got into it.
It's probably a movie you have to watch twice to get all the nuts and bolts
but it's a must see for the premise
alone!
                                                                                 The Premise:

In Inception, Cobb is faced with the challenge of implanting an idea in a man’s head by joining him into his dreams and manipulating the story in a way that makes the idea appear to be something discovered and not nefariously implanted by someone else. His goal: sowing an idea, inception.

The definition of Inception is: an act, process or instance of beginning.

Not that i believe this science is possible because it would just so wrong!
Although some people believe it's similar to hypnosis but it's so much more.
Even if it was possible,
i believe the mean & bad people in our world would completely use it inappropriately.
But  the movie got me to thinking: wouldn't it be kinda sorta cool
if i could complete an inception with Mr. Pancakes.
You know, go into his subconscious and conscious and sow an idea.
I know in the movie, it didn't work out so well when it was done
but this is only a blog and not REALLY real.
A blogger can dream right?

So if i had to complete an inception on Mr. Pancakes, here are some of the ideas i would sow:

1. Put your clothes in the laundry hamper (all the way in)
2. You will give me foot rubs after every run
3. You love watching reality shows with me
4. You love to watch HGTV every single night including weekends
5. You will buy me an Ipad for Christmas
6. The garbage will be your duty for the REST of our marriage
7. You will NOT judge me on spending $5 on lattes at SB when i can spend $1.50 at 711
8. YOU will cook all our meals (because you make delicious/healthy meals)
9. We will celebrate our anniversary EVERY month
10. You LOVE watching Project Runaway with me
11. DO NOT BUY Arm & Hammer toothpaste EVER again!
12. I LOVE you forever but then you already know this!

Not too bad right?
Now it's your turn ladies, what would you sow in your husband?
Incept away....but remember to have your anchor that reminds you of reality.
Watch the movie, you will know what i mean!

  10. This made me giggle very loudly here at work.

    What would I sow...

    - You love old black and white movies. They remind you of a simpler, more romantic time and you can't wait to cuddle up and watch one with me.

    - You like asparagus. Then I won't feel like such a pig when I make a whole pan full just for me.

    - You hate video games and think they are a waste of time.

    - Soda tastes terrible and you would much rather drink a nice big glass of water or iced tea.

    - You LOVE brushing my hair. It's pretty much your favorite thing to do. Ever.

Lol. This was a really fun list to write. Maybe I'll even show Kyle...

  12. I loved that movie! I remember walking out of it like...wait...are we dreaming!? Are we awake! Let me push you off the curb! Ahh! I need an object to spin! lol

If I could plant an idea, it would be mandatory cuddle time every night complete with kisses to the forehead. He does all of that, but not too often. :-(

  13. You know I LOVE LEO di CAPRIO because I've wrote about it once. I've watched the movie, say three times at least and will buy it to watch over and over again.

I would sow in my husband to WATCH INCEPSTION over and over again without complaint :).

  14. HAHAHAHA awesome

    to my s.o.:

    1) You LOVE talking about feelings and processing them every day
    2) You want to dress up as Twilight characters for Halloween with me
    3) You find the TV as noisy and annoying as I do

That's a great chart and I LOVED that movie - i'm also a Leo fan; I'll watch anything he's in (except Shutter Island - too scary)

It is too bad you don't live in Chicago because yes, I do offer to go to people's places to assemble outfits with pieces already in their closets :)

  27. I love this post!! Better still I love the ideas of what you would plant in hubby's head! I've seen this movie 4 times already and I never get tired of seeing it. Most assuredly after I see it each time I am hypothesizing and theorizing as to whether then end was a dream or real and how it plays out after the camera stops rolling.

First, I haven't seen the movie yet, I watched it while on a plane on the guy's iPad next to me, but couldn't hear anything and he didn't finish it so I'm intrigued.

I love yours to your husband. If only they would enjoy watching HGTV every single day like us! Don't they know what they could learn, if they did?!? SO much!! haha
