Random Ramblings: She works hard 4 her $...

I love me some Drew Barrymore.
(i can watch Ever After over and over and over and over)
Recently i came across her CoverGirl commercials
and actually started paying attention.

In one commercial, i found her to look more believable.
In that she would (in real life) wear the light and softer kinds of CG.
drew barrymore covergirl summer/spring 2010 ad campaign

However, in another commercial she was overdone in CG!
Which i don't find very believable.

Of course, i don't know her personally but from everything i see in the media,
she comes across as soft and light!

But then just like i have to work hard for my money,
so does Drew Barrymore!

Am i the only one that feels that Drew is more soft and light and not so edgy?
Have you even seen the commercials?
Do you even care?
Or should i be worried about the economy or something more important?

  1. Mrs. Pancakes,

I think she can rock both looks and pull it off, however, her softer side is more her. I love to see the feminine side of her plus she's always so gorgeous.

P.s. Thanks for emailing me back :)

  2. I always saw her as the sweet type who probably goes a little crazy when she goes out. You are probably right, though--bad economy means taking any job, right?

    cheers.

  4. I agree with you that the light look is more her style! The other look is way too over-the-top. And don't worry -- I'm afraid the bad economy will still be here for a long time, so why not take a break from thinking about it? :)

  5. I love Drew Barrymore and can watch "Ever After" a million times over and not get sick of it. It's classic! I like the first look on her. The second, more edgy look, also looks good, but is more for a night out with the gals. I'm sure gonna copy that look this fall for my friends bday party. LOL.

  7. I like both looks. I like to think she is more of a natural girl, but I don't know.
I imagine being a celebrity she needs to be ready for various occasions.
Regarding your comments about being concerned with other stuff......Nope. I think you are right on track. I read the news for worldly stuff. I can only get this stuff on blogs. ;)

  8. I've totally noticed. I definitely think she's more of a soft & light & bohemian type these days...although she was probably a bit more edgy when she was younger. But I will say, she looks AMAZING in that blue-ish eyeshadow! Wowza! Such a striking look, and so hard to pull off!

p.s. I'm new to your blog and I'm LOVING it already!! xx

  9. I agree...Drew seems a bit more soft and airy...if a person can be airy! She pulls over the edgy look on paper very well but I cant see her being that way in real life, either. Kudos to CoverGirl for making us believe we can switch it up like Drew!

P.S. I dont know if I'm late on this but I love your new layout! You look so gorg in the wedding photo :)
