We had some chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies at home on Friday.
On Saturday night i had a field day with the cookies.
I ate one chocolate chip cookie.
Then one oatmeal cookie.
Then i had another chocolate chip cookie.
Then another oatmeal cookie.
Which lead to two...three...ok six cookies..
Both chocolate chip and oatmeal.
Ok, ok...honestly i probably had close to ten cookies.
When Mr. Pancakes came home Saturday night
I confessed my lack of self-control and
asked him to take the cookies away.
On Sunday before i went to work,
i was looking for some chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies
and it wasn't anywhere in the kitchen.
WHAT?
WHERE ARE THE COOKIES?
Mr. Pancakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wasn't really serious when i asked him to take the cookies away.
I was only joking...
It's Monday morning, i still want the chocolate chip/oatmeal cookies.
Too bad the cookies in the pictures are not real.
I WANT SOME COOKIES...soooo bad....
there are grapes in the fridge...
now i know how Cookie Monster feels when he is denied some cookies!
Moral of the Story: Everything in moderation!
p.s: Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian family and peeps!
haha, funny! My hisband would do the same thing! But just remember: it's good for you! Hang on and you'll get over your cravings!!
ReplyDeletehahahaha did you find out where he hid them? Or did he "hide" them in his mouth? haha
ReplyDeletelol@Sarah...he hid it in his mouth!
ReplyDeleteHehehe...moral of the story be careful what you tell hubby he just may follow instructions. I know its weird but I don't eat cookies, or cake, or ice-cream...just never liked the taste.
ReplyDeletehahaha! I can't leave any cookies around Hubby, they are gone in no time!
ReplyDeleteMy husband is the cookie monster in our house! He can eat a whole tub in one sitting. My latest weakness, however, is wasabi party mix. LOL.
ReplyDeletehaha! i love that cookie monster sign :)
ReplyDeletemy husband would to the same thing. yesterday i had 9choco-mint cookies and then 15 frolini, in the evening i was good to myself and had only yogurt, fruits, honey, oat and raisins for dinner.
ReplyDeletenow..i want cookies!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletehahah
xoxo
b
And he actually followed through and took the cookies away? I bet you anything he's secretly eating them!! lol
ReplyDeleteYes, everything in moderation (coming from the girl who ate TWO bags of chips yesterday... holy oinker!)
Thanks for the Happy Thanksgiving love!
My husband would have ate them, not hid them. lol
ReplyDeleteThey do look yummy.
I am the same way, one cookie leads to many more. I only ever take 2 cookies with me and then when I want more I HAVE to get up and get them. I think it helps burn some of the not-so-good-stuff as I walk back and forth from the kitchen, haha.
ReplyDeleteAnother trick I try is I'll wait 15-30 min and if I still want some then I'll get it.
Good luck finding them :-)
Oh these made me very hungry!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting!

So cute! I'm not a big cookie person, but I could do with a few right now! Have a wonderful week :)
ReplyDeleteHubby has been on a baking frenzy. I'm surrounded by trays of freshly baked made from scratch cookies as we speak. It is an exercise in willpower I tell ya! I ate 4 the other night!! I feel your pain.
ReplyDeleteHaha you and Mr. P makes me laugh I love your posts you guys are my fav couple :)

lol oh man this was funny. I can relate! I loveee snacking on mainly junk and sometimes I just can't stop. It's insane!
ReplyDeletehaha!!! I'm pretty good on self control. But once you let me loose on something so good - it's so hard to pull back!!
ReplyDeletelol.. LOVED this.. SO awesome,.. lol..
ReplyDeleteLOL! Too funny! Cookies are like chips, you CANT have just one! Thank God for Mr. Pancakes!
ReplyDeleteWe've had similar situations in my house. My hubby is a cookie and chips lover! lol
ReplyDeleteYes, we have a cookie obsession too! The worst is when we put dulce de leche ice cream in between the(slightly warm) homemade oatmeal cookies. It was DH's idea and he calls it an Abe Lincoln (not sure why!).
ReplyDeleteThis is so funny! Love the Cookie Monster picture. I totally struggle with self control when it comes to yummy food! I can't have it in the house. Darn my sweet tooth!

ReplyDeleteI have some Fage yogurt & blueberries in the frig & you've complete ruined my resolve with those cookies. Shame on you! hehe...I had to blame someone for my lack of control, right? lol
ReplyDeleteladies..it's so tough to have a sweet tooth!
ReplyDelete@Nini--what?! no sweet tooth..you are the envy of many women!
@Bravoe..i love you more now that you sang that song!
@Amanda....thanks for the ideas!
Haha oh this made me laugh!!
ReplyDeleteThis is too funny! He took the cookies away for real! Something similar happened a few days ago. My boyfriend came over and brought pizza. He told me he would leave me the last 2 slices to take to work and I said "Oh no babe, go ahead and take them with you" Well I didn't think he really would. LOL!
ReplyDeleteHaha too funny! Did you find them?! Now I'm suddenly starving for cookies! xo
ReplyDeleteum, i may or may not have purchased halloween candy today knowing full well that we will not have any trick or treaters - so i know how you feel! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh- you are too funny! My husband is like this too only my downfall is cupcakes!
ReplyDeleteLol I saw this add a while back and I feel the same way cookie monster feels. I am trying but cookies are my weakness. Not chocolate or cakes just cookies.
ReplyDeleteHahaahaaahaaaa! I so feel you! Great post!
ReplyDeletechocolate chip cookies are my DOWNFALL! Only problem is that when I make them, I never get around to baking them because I eat all the dough!!
ReplyDeleteThat Cookie Monster picture was so funny!!!!!!! I don't have a love for cookies (i know i know) lol but my BF does and when I take them he has the same reaction as the Cookie Monster.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog :)
