Howdy-ho neighborettes!! My name is Alisha, and I blog over at Alisha & Brandon, a lifestyle and fashion blog. Basically, a catch-all for everything in mine and my husband's lives.

I started this blog to keep track of our relationship and to always have something to look back on. In the beginning, I hoped my blog would give encouragement to other couples and help them appreciate their relationship and enjoy the time they have to share with that special person in their life. I love who I am married to, and I love that we share this union, journey and relationship together.

Our honeymoon to Mexico is probably the coolest thing the two of us have done together in our first year of marriage. (Minus the awesome stay-at-home-date-nights where we turn off our laptops and cell phones to watch our favorite shows or a DVR-ed movie with a glass of wine.) ;)

The resort we stayed at was absolutely gorgeous, and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to snuggle up on a private beach with their significant other. They have an impressive selection of amenities and services. The staff was so polite and courteous, and we even got to practice our Spanish with them. :) My favorite excursion was zip lining in the Maya Riviera!

We still consider ourselves newlyweds even though our one year anniversary was December 4th,2011 and our love is still alive and strong! We have learned so much about each other in our first year. We have learned that we are an important half to a team that involves a husband and a wife. Brandon and I are a team, meaning we work together to bring out the best in one another. We strive to create a great life for ourselves as best friends and lovers. We love one another, and we live to support each other.

Thank you so much for having me, Mrs. Pancakes! xoxo

Their honeymoon looked like such a total blast! There is nothing better than relaxing and spending time with your honey after the hectic-ness of a planning a wedding. Whoever invented the idea of honeymooning couldn't have had it more right!

Question of the Day:
Where did you spend your honeymoon?

  5. We actually never had a honeymoon...the first trip we took together as a married couple was to Orlando, FL and we just took in the sights around there-Disneyworld, Kennedy Space Center, Daytona Beach, the Daytona 500. It was different, but good!

  12. Awww, thanks for sharing. These posts give me the warm and fuzzies! My husband and I didn't have a honeymoon per se'. BUT I have to say that we're always relegated to "newlywed" or "honeymoon" phase after my husband returns from a deployment or training. So, I definitely am not complaining. Everyday we're together is a celebration. =o)
