Happy Monday Friends!
Give Monday a break will you?!...it's NOT so bad!
On to today's conversation...
I have been watching the Bachelor and Bachelorette Franchise
since the first season and i have loved all the beautiful people,
exciting story lines, trianges and then later on the backstabbing, cat fights
and drama that comes with the show.
I have been an avid watcher and...
Knew from the very beginning that Trista was going to choose Ryan.
I knew Jason and Molly were for real and Melissa was just out to become famous.
Remember Byron and Mary...i knew they were would end up together.
And they were amazing together aside from a few domestic fights.
I wonder if they are still togther?!
And i knew Brad Womack was a weirdo from the beginning.
Seriously, two shows and you still can't find a woman!
You have issues!!
I knew Dr. Stork was sexy!!!
Ahh, Dr. Travis Stork...Gosh i was so in love with him!!
Who cares if he never met anyone...he is a sexy Doctor on TV!
My argument is that the Bachelor has had a lot of great and interesting men and will always be a great show to watch because of all the drama it provides, like the crying girls.
BUT here is my hope,
that they will one day introduce a Black Bachelor or Bachelorette?
Seriously, there are Black bachelors and bachelorettes out there looking for LOVE!
They want to hand out roses too!
Like Marvin Montgomery, Cosmo's Hottest Bachelor of the month
And i am sure there are many other good looking and successful black bachelors out there
who can make the show great!
I'm just hoping that one day, ABC and the producers of the show
will be able to find the nex Bachelor who will happen to be a black man!
Question of the Day"
Who was your favorite Bachelor?
And would you watch the Bachelor with a black man?
Mrs. P
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thing. I think it will be interesting for them to mix it up and try something different.
I have watched this season is it any good?
Ps. Trista and Ryan hands down are my favorite.
There's actually a really interesting article about why The Bachelor will never be Black. I'll have to find it for you. I stopped watching it awhile back in part because I was like "Why are they even bothering to put a token Black woman on the show when most don't make it past the first round?" Also it started getting a little crazy to me from the the Bachelors they were picking to the women they were choosing. People were losing their minds (and stillare!). :) I love seeing Ryan & Trista! They seem so normal and down to earth.
ReplyDeleteI cheat on the show....I wait until the weddings are on TV. I just love to watch those!
ReplyDeleteI am so behind on watching this season of the bachelor oops!
ReplyDeleteThere isn't even a token black (or latina, or asian) on this season.
ReplyDeleteThere will likely never be a black bachelor or bachelorette. It makes me angry and sad all at once.
There are so many shows with that unfairness. I watched a show where people have to pair up and make a couple the only Black guy there had a rough ride with the girls.
ReplyDeleteBeauty shouldn't be judged by colour, but unfortunately some producers do. Great topic.
i just started watching this franchise last year when the girls are work were super into it... now every monday we get together and make a night of it. I think it's a an extremely poor decision that they have been soooo bad about who they've asked to be on the show. I read a statics that none of the original Bachelor couples are still together & only 2 of the bacherlorette couples. Also, this season has the lowest ratings ever....Guess what ABC, the formula isn't working- time to mix it up a bit.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't really kept up with the franchise but remember Trista and Ryan (cute!)
ReplyDeleteIt would be great to have more diversity as well. I'm sure they will soon!

AHH! I love the Bachelor and Bachelorette! And you're completely right! They need to branch out. Here's hoping they actually do it!!
ReplyDeleteI don't watch these shows but agree that they definitely need to introduce more diversity! Have a wonderful Monday!
ReplyDeletei am so glad you posted this because I have thought the same thing...or at least that they should have more diversity in who is on the show! I think it would bring up interesting issues and end up getting more people to watch the show. I would love it!
ReplyDeleteHow about a Taye Diggs look-alike for the next bachelor?! I would love that and would watch that season more than I do this season! Ben isn't my fav, he's just so-so. My favorite Bachelor was Jason and my favorite Bachelorette was Jillian. Both had great personalities and were so fun to watch!
ReplyDeleteThat would be nice if they picked the Cosmo Bachelor of the Month for the Bachelor! I have loved watching this franchise, but am not a big fan of Ben this season!
ReplyDeleteDont watch the show since the jason season. I really like Melissa and I truly believed she loved jason. I think he did her wrong but on the flip side I am glad that the truth came out before they got married. Looks like it worked out for the both of them. Melissa's ex realized what he missed.

I think I am the only one who doesn't watch the Bachelor.....
ReplyDeleteI am totally out of the loop on this one.
i LOVE the bachelor. it's the only reason why i am loving monday today!
ReplyDeleteand jason and molly, blah. i'm not a fan. plus, i've met the guy and he is kind of delusional and thinks he's super famous. so sad.
but all the others, i love!
and bryon and mary finally did end it. i thought they'd pull through.
xo TJ
The season with Trista and Ryan was the only one I watched! So happy to learn that they're still together and with babies too!
ReplyDeleteMr. Marvin Montgomery is YUMMY! I would totally watch if they did a black bachelor.
ReplyDeleteI have to disagree about Melissa- she is one of my favorites to ever be on the show! I think she was absolutely heartbroken during the finale, but I'm glad to see it all worked out for everyone! This show is a train wreck that I just can't stop watching!
ReplyDeleteAnother guilty pleasure- The Bachelor. Is this season worth watching? Does he seem genuine?
ReplyDeleteIt frustrates me that they won't do an ethnic version of the show. I don't even watch anymore.
ReplyDeleteExcellent question! And Excellent suggestion! Hopefully the producers take a hint!
ReplyDeleteI haven't watched that show in years.I would check in though if there were a black bachelor. i like variety!
ReplyDeleteexactly why i don't watch the bachelor/bachelorette. never had an interest esp with their lack of diversity.
ReplyDeletehaha, i love the bachelor and the bachelorette so much.... i think trista and ryan make beautiful babies... and they're just a gorgeous family. :) it's funny how you think brad womack is a weirdo... because my husband thinks "he's the man!" lol... he thinks brad was cool to not choose one over the other because he wasn't sure...
ReplyDeletei have been through a lot of "worst"s with my hubby, but it made our love stronger, and i know he has unconditionally loved me at my worst... which says a lot to me. :) it is embarrasing to say what it is.... lol.
hope you're well. :)

i forgot to tell monday that i love her, lol
ReplyDeleteYou know what! You are so right and I never really noticed it because I don't really watch it. I did see the one with Melissa I think, but even with that one it was like at the end. I think that if they had a black man that I would be more inclined to watch. That guy from Cosmo is cute! I think I would try out for the show if he was going on. Lol. :P
