MommyLogues: Sophie La Girafe

I wanted to introduce you today to Sophie la Girafe...
that's Sophie the Giraffe in English by the way!

She is a teething toy that many mothers use...
my niece has one and it is the cutest thing ever!

And as you can see her name is Sophie...
am i totally off base to wonder...
is this teething toy for baby girls or boys?

As we are purchasing and receiving items for Baby Pancakes,
I may be thinking too much about boy vs. girl colors and toys,
boy things vs. girl things but oh well that's where i am right now.
What do you think...help me figure this out please...

Question of the Day:
Is Sophie La Girafe a boy or girl toy or does it matter at all?

  1. I don't think it really matters...
Just toss the packaging and name it "John" if you want a boy name haha :)

  2. Never considered. Our boy loved it and we called him Sophie. The Mister gets really upright about things being boyish and he didn't have any complaints. I vote that it doesn't matter.

  5. You know, I saw this on a friend's registry the other day, and she is having a boy also. I say either/or!

  6. My friend has one for his son. Although they eventually took it away because of the choking hazard that FDA issued on it and issues with the ink which is supposed to be food coloring. I think both boys and girls can use.

  7. It's a giraffe and will be chewed on so I doubt it matters. You could always buy a neutral one. Things have really changed. My kids had clear round gel type of thingies you put in the fridge for teething rings.

  8. Baby Pancakes will not care if that giraffe is a boy or girl... so long as Baby Pancakes can chow down on that thing! You can always rename it Steven or something...

  9. If baby pancakes loves sophie the giraffe as much as my abby does it won't matter. all that matters is that those baby gums are soothed by gnawing the life out of the poor giraffe! lol

  15. Our Sophie got renamed Mona because I temporarily forgot her name one day. Mila didn't seem to mind...but that's an odd aside. I think that it doesn't matter whatsoever. :)

  18. I don't think that it matters. JJ plays dolls and tea party with Moo. And she plays trucks and blocks with him. Toys are toys to me.
