MommyLogues: How Far We've Come

Good Morning Ladies...i am still well and pregnant.
Hope you've all had a great weekend!!

With the growth of Baby Pancakes...
came the growth of other parts of my body like my arms.
My African arms...i call them:-)
Overall, this pregnancy has been and felt amazing.
(as this is my first....i think it's been pretty amazing...
labor i am sure is a whole different story)
But I've learned to embrace and appreciate what my body is capable of.
I know i have a new body and will continue to appreciate it aferwards.
I will learn to make it stronger again physically
because i know my body is already strong.
I praise all of you women who've had multiple children including my Mama!
Pregnancy is not for the faint at heart.

I feel blessed to lend my body over to Baby Pancakes.
But i am glad to have my body back...soon...
Actually since i am breastfeeding...i guess i won't have my body back right away.
But at least i get to sleep on my stomach again!

  1. You look amazing mama pancakes! I am also African and am experiencing the same thing you are :-).

Weekend was spent relaxing. Went to Barnes & Nobles to read the "free magazines" and also drove around a bit.
Yesterday, J & I went to Church and taught at the children's ministry during the next service. It was fun. Then we had dinner at J's parent's house.
    Overall, a blessed weekend.

I hope you had a nice one too.

  3. You're almost there! Sleeping on your stomach again will indeed be a pleasure. It's great you're breast feeding. The breast feeding will help your stomach get smaller faster so It will be helpful in Getting your body back.

  11. What an exciting time in your life! Children are such a blessing (even though when they get older they definitely test your patience), lol! But...it is the most important and most rewarding job in the whole world.

  12. I thought the same thing that I would sleep on my stomach once I had the baby...WRONG I still sleep on my side or back. Enjoy every minute of mommyhood.

We spent the weekend going to a friend's 4 year birthday party and then relaxing the rest of the weekend.

That first night you're able to sleep on your stomach (though not for long since your boobs will be huge from milk production)...you'll sleep like a baby!
