Embarrassing Pictures of Your Baby Should Not be online!!!!!

Good Morning Friends...

I am all for people posting pictures of their babies online....
Especially cute cuddly pictures of their babies...
because these babies will grow up someday and want to see the adorable pictures....
And online has become a way to document family pictures...
Kudos to those who share these precious moments
but i don't think embarrassing pictures of your baby should be online?

I worry about others that put embarrassing
pictures and videos of their children online.
Youtube has become the dumping ground for such videos
and personally I am alarmed at parents that do this...
One video of your kid crying or having a temper tantrum may possibly be acceptable
but to post continuous pictures/videos of
your child crying with snot on their faces is just plain disgusting.

And this father should be ashamed of herself.
Embarrassing his baby in this manner.
And in my opinion his inability to have some boundaries for his child...
children cry but they don't have to cry over every little thing.

And the fact that the media including Huffington Post
thinks this father has turned his child's crying moments/tantrums into comedic gold
 should be ashamed of themselves.
I debated whether to put the pictures on my blog but i had to prove my point...
Sorry little unsuspecting cute baby that your dad is doing this to you....

Now of course this father has the right to do what he wants with his baby...
but i have a right to my opinions too especially since
anything online is up for public consumption and debate.
If i could ask this father one question, it would be this:
Would you post embarrassing pictures of yourself online?

Question of the Day:
Am i being totally unfair to this dad?
Or is he just having some fun?

  2. I don't think it's bad.
In fact, some of mine and my sister's favorite pictures of us as kids are the embarassing ones! We've posted a few of them on facebook and we've had some GOOD LAUGHs over them.

People may think differently, but I feel like I've grown out of that awful kid/snot-faced/awkward stages kids go through- now it's fun to look back and laugh. If you can't laugh at yourself, what can you laugh at?? :)

    Good post!

  3. It's one of those topics that could be debated to death. A friend of mine recently posted a pic of her baby in the tub with baby's poop. Some found it funny others found it gross.

  4. I think it's one thing to share them with friends and family but not the world. As an adult I think those pics are adorable but I don't know that in this day and time if I was in high school I'd want pics of me as a toddler crying or drugged up from an operation, for friends or enemies to have open access to them.
But I'm opposed to people sharing their kids faces online anyways. Esp people who tell ALL the business. There is no reason that FB "friends" whom you don't actually talk to in the real world know your kids names ages dob and what pre-school you've chosen. Making it so easy for someone to prey on them. (sorry for the rant but it's something that bothers me)

  5. I don't have kids but I don't think I'd be putting embarrassing pics of them up on the net. To me, the crying and snot one isn't actually that bad. What's worse to me is naked bathtub or kiddo on the potty pics. To me that's just a little more private. To each his own I suppose.

  6. Babies are future adults and I feel that if you wouldn't post something like that about yourself, why do it to someone else? I am with you. I don't agree with the dad posting that.

  7. I'm very careful of what pictures I put online. My baby has no say, so it's not fair to her if I don't use discretion. I get especially nervous about people who put naked baby pics online. Yes, they're cute, but there are sick people out there who would do horrifying things with those pics. And it's too easy for readers to just copy, paste, and then use the pictures however they want. I think we should all be more careful about over sharing when it comes to our kids and the Internet.

  8. I don't think these are bad at all, and I doubt that the baby is embarrassed. However, like Cece said, if the kids were naked, now that would be a different story...

  9. We live in a TMI world, people want to share everything without boundaries. Most times we rarely think about the consequences of those actions for now and in the future. There is nothing wrong with taking all sorts of embarrassing pictures of your child but putting it online for the whole world to see? No one wants to see your child snot

  10. Amen, Mrs. Pancakes! Some people just share way too much in a way that's disrespectful to their own family members and to those who follow their posts. I really don't need to see photos of a crying child or a kid using the toilet, etc.

  11. I think the line is very thin between funny and inappropriate. I don't think naked pics are ever appropriate but tantrums as you will soon learn are as normal as normal can get. All kids do it. All parent have to deal with it, it's just one of those things.
