Being Sick...

Via
The last couple of days i have been running around and yesterday i finally ran myself ragged...
ragged enough that i was sick like a puppy!
Not exactly green+purple+red+orange+blue+yellow sick but

Nose blowing+eyes watering+head-achy
+in the bed all day=SICK!

I am definitely a miserable person when i am SICK so to help me get over the cold...
i had a few things healing me back to health.

i was drinking Emergen-C like juice...
NOT really but since it was my first time drinking it...
i think it was helpful.

Another dose of Calcium came from Orange Juice
(hopefully it was fortified)...
i love OJ...just so soothing!

And a box of kleenex, the soft kind...and i finished the box in one day!
My poor nose is soooo raw...don't you hate that feeling???

Honestly, the one thing that helped the most was just sleeping-in and resting up...
it does wonders when i am sick.
And of course Mr. Pancakes made sure i had all my supplies before he went to work.
Bless his soul he never gets sick...
thank goodness because one miserable person is all this household needs.
Wishing you nothing today but Health & Wellness!!!!

Question of the Day:
What about you, how do you get over being sick?
Any home-made remedies?

  6. Ugh, I hope you feel better soon! I hate being sick and am glad it doesn't happen too often, though when it does, I get really, really sick and normally need an antibiotic. Other than that, I just try to rest, if I can. Last fall, I had to force myself to class while sick, which was really rough.

  7. My husband and I are opposite of you guys-he is always the sick one, and I'm always healthy! He had pneumonia in December that last for SIX weeks! And now yesterday, he went home early from work, sick again. I would also take a multi-vitamin, and if you are going back to work or need some energy, take a Super-B complex vitamin. Get well soon!

  10. Get well soon please! I usually eat a lot of fresh oranges, pineapples, and cantaloupe to get vitamin c! The juices at the store tend to be watered down with all that additive stuff.

  11. Get well soon!

I have had a stuffy nose and a cough myself. I am drinking water with vitamin C in it, green tea with honey, and lots of water. After three days of that I am finally feeling more like myself again.

    Blessings to you!

  13. This isn't going to do you a bit of good right now. However - for next time...as soon as you feel a tingle of a germ or have exposed to some, start taking vitamin c AND Golden Seal. Golden Seal is an herb. It works for me. I can't give it to my son because he's too young/ its would be hard to swallow anyway but I'll give him some Airborne when I think he's been exposed.

  16. I hope you feel better!!!

The only time I usually get sick is allergy related and since I'm breastfeeding, I had to give up normal meds.... My remedy is just to keep pushing through it and sleep!

  17. Ohh Mrs Pancakes I hope you feel better soon. When I get sick it's usually because I've worked too hard and am exhausted. Lots of sleep and massages do wonders for me. And cuddles. Can't go wrong with cuddles. Sending you hugs <3
