Secret Newlywed Behaviors: Sleeping Confessions!

Ladies,
THANK YOU ALL FOR SUCH
WONDERFUL WELL WISHES yesterday...
totally made my day and i do feel GREAT today!!

I am excited it's THURSDAY...what about you?

I haven't confessed any secret newlywed behaviors in a while
so i wanted to share some related to sleeping...

1. A few weeks ago, i woke up to find myself HITTING Mr. Pancakes on the chest.
Come to find out i was dreaming i was in a fight and apparently really pummeling the other person.
My pooer husband...he was SHOCKED to say the least...thank goodness he didn't have any bruises.

2.  I continue to steal covers in the middle of the night...
so now we've purchased a KING SIZE comforter and that's appears to be working well (so far)

3.  Another night...i must have been TALKING in my sleep and he asked me:
 "babe....are you ok?"
And i answered:
"i am thinking about my parking tickets!"
SERIOUSLY??!!
What is wrong with me?
I might be stressed out!!
But when you are in DC and continue to get parking tickets...
life can be stressful...
they are vultures over here!

Hopefully soon i will return to my regular sleeping schedule....
i don't want to scare my husband by beating him up in the middle of the night...
or speaking nonsense in my sleep
NOT sexy leading up to Valentine's Day!

Question of the Day:
Have you had any weird sleeping moments as of late?
(Please share so that i don't feel crazy in my newlywed mode)

  1. Haha this made me laugh. Sleeping patterns are so funny. I've been attacked once or twice, not violently but anything is a disturbance when you're sound asleep :) xoxo

  2. HAHAHAA!!!
Well, john claims I steal the covers, but when he tries to take them back I do a snookie scream.

John used to abuse me at night, always hitting or elbowing me in the head, but the king sized bed remedied that thank goodness.

We've had conversations that John will bring up something from and I'll be like what are you talking about? I'll forget entire convos. I dunno why he tries to talk to me when I'm sleeping!

  5. You sure seem to be working out a lot of things while sleeping! ;)

My mom once drew up both of her legs and feet and then straightened them in an explosive blast to my dad's thigh! Poor guy must have been sore for a month!

and haha, when Sean pisses me off i am SO going to pretend that i am having a dream that i am hitting someone just for an excuse. I'm kidding ;)

but Sean tells me that i do kick him and elbow him when i sleep.

  9. haha That made me laugh so hard when you said pummeling! That would be crazy to wake up to! I've been known to sleep talk a few times. I'll wake up the next morning and my hubs will tell me the crazy things I said.

  10. I once punched my husband in the jaw and it was bruised and swollen the next day. When we woke up I asked him what happened and he told me...I had NO recollection of it! Whoopsie!

  11. lol this is funny. The other night I began laughing out loud while sleeping and the hubby made fun of me. Well, later that night he began talking in his sleep. And somehow my legs and feet always end up on his side of the bed.

  12. LOL! My sleep schedule has been completely off lately, and I try not to wake my husband when I go to bed around 2 a.m. or so. I also dream constantly when I sleep but haven't started talking or acting things out, as least not yet. Ha ha!

  17. I used to pull the blankets but we bought a larger one and it seemed to help.
People do weird things in their sleep, my husband laughs sometimes and it always makes me want to wake him up so I can ask what he is laughing about. lol

  18. I've definitely been guilty of talking in my sleep on numerous occasions, but so far I haven't hit anyone. Yet! Dreams are very powerful things, so don't let yourself feel too bad! I'm sure your hubby understands. He's a tough man, he can take it :)

    Happy Friday!

  19. haha, that's too funny. I bet he was shocked when you were hitting him. G has occasional dreams about snakes that leave him yelling and kicking..so that's something I get to look forward to in the future..as for me, I've been known to yell out "NO". haha
