LongLazySunday: Goodbye Summer 2011!

This longlazysunday i wanted to take some time to say goodbye to Summer 2011.
The last longlazysunday of the summer!
A little meloncholy but looking forward to the cooler weather and warm cozy sweaters.
Before we end the summer though, i would like to celebrate it a little.

This summer has definitely been awesome for many reasons.
I went to Toronto.
I had my thyroid surgery and it was successful.
I returned to work with a vengeance.
I started working out again.
Not with as much intensity as i would like but i am getting there.
Mr. Pancakes and i went to several baseball games (we may go to a few more).
The wolfpack and i went to a wedding in Williamsport, PA.  (interesting wedding).
Mr. Pancakes and i celebrated four months of marriage.
I practiced self-discipline with the No-TV Challenge.

And one of the best part of the summer was taking our annual girl's trip, this time to Virginia Beach.
And what better way to celebrate the end of summer but with pictures from our trip!

Going Across the very well-lit bridge....

Arriving--we had luggage for like a week.
We were there for a weekend.
Gotta love hotel staff!
Checkin' In @ the Cavalier--an old hotel but great location!
View from the Cavalier!

What is it about the beach that brings out the kids in us?!
Artistic picture of a Wolfpack!

Hitting the town...
The Boardwalk...
We didn't do this but they looked completely fun!
I thought his name was Poiseden....

And of course there were several random poses!

There were traffic jams all the way home.
It took us eight hours to get home instead of four!
But it allowed us to continue bonding.
Interesting conversations ensued:-)

But we made sure to nourish our bodies with some good eats....
Cracker Barrel--finally!
French Toast anyone..
And of course there were pancakes!
Wolfpack...as always...the trip was awesome.
Glad we spent some of the summer together!

And as the summer comes to an end,
i would like to leave you with one of
my favorite things about summer, beautiful sunsets!
Hope your summer was as excellent as mine!

Until next summer...
Enjoy your labor day weekend.
i hope your Sunday is long&lazy!

I also had an awesome summer! It's always a little sad to see it end, but I'm looking forward to a fabulous fall, too. Your trip looks like tons of fun!

Girl's trips are the best- looks like you had a wonderful time (in my home town!) The Cavalier is a beautiful hotel so much history and amazing views. I am always sad to see the sun setting sooner but autumn stole my heart once I moved to NY. here's to warm cozy sweater weather!

I, too, am sad to see summer go. *Sigh* But I am looking forward to wearing my blazers again. LOL. And because this was one amazing summer, I feel as though I can say "good-bye" and welcome fall. Looks like you had a great one too! Making the most of the time is what truly counts...
