In TwentyTwelve...

I know everyone is thinking and talking about Thanksgiving and Christmas but i have had the new year, twentytwelve (2012), on the brain for a while. Not only will Mr. Pancakes and i celebrate 4 years together but we will be celebrating 52 weeks and 365 days of love! We will celebrate a year of being (thyroid) cancer free.  There will be many firsts for us in 2012 and for this i am grateful and looking forward to the new year.

I am also anxiously anticipating the new year because of of the plans for this little blog here: The Adventures of Team Pancakes! I believe blogland is such an awesome place to learn from each other.
And in the new year, i hope to turn my little corner of the blogland into a forum in which we can learn from one another and grow, not only as individuals but as a collective group.  As women, wives, mothers and whatever other titles we hold , we have so much knowledge and wisdom to share with another and in the new year, i hope we can come together to do this.

Even prior to the new year, i hope to start this sharing and learning from one another via guest posting.

One of my first blogger buddies, the lovely Lady K, of A Single Mother's Journey, is starting an awesome series on finding love, not only within yourself but with others.  At the end of the day, Team Pancakes believes that love begins within and then it emanates out to others!  We also believe love is not hard work if you put the time into it from the beginning. I was honored the fab Lady K asked me to be part of her series and i cannot wait as she begins it TODAY!  Here's another avenue in which we can learn from one another.
Please STOP BY!

In addition to joining others around blogland....i will be inviting others to share how they are living, loving and laughing in their lives.  Life and love is being celebrated everyday around us and i've come across people doing this in the most beautiful kinds of ways.  There is so much negativity around us that i cannot wait to generate an opportunity to celebrate the positivity that is generated through LOVE!
The series will include: 52 Weeks of Love and Living Our Vows.

Yesterday i spoke about being present and more focused on the important things and areas in my life.
In additional to focusing on my personal goals...i hope to focus my blogging experience as well.
I hope you will join and share along the journey with me.
The only way to grow is to learn something new.
The best way to do this is to learn from people that are living their experiences.
And living it well!

I read a quote from Oprah recently that has stayed with me:
"who you're meant to be evolves from where you are right now."

In keeping with the theme of being focused...
if who i am meant be evolves from where i am right now...
and i don't necessarily like where i am...
i can and will choose to grow through learning something different and new
so i can evolve and be where i am meant to be!
Remember God gives us opportunities but he expects some kind of action(s) from us.
This was an epiphany for me.
I can choose to be different.
I can choose to learn and grow.
I can choose to use my blog as a forum of learning and growth.
For myself and for others!
I can choose to live, laugh and love!

***if you read to this far...thank you...
now you get to partake in the questions of the day***
yaaaah!!
Please...don't forget to Stop by Lady K's blog once you answer the questions.

What are some of your plans in the year 2012 for your corner of blogland?
What are some milestones you are looking forward to in 2012?

Oh wow Mrs. Pancakes you said it all I agree with everything. I definitely believe that we should learn and grow from our own experiences and other people's experiences as well. Take your guest post on my blog today... God places people in your life for a reason and He shows you things you didn't expect to see. Your post touched me deeply and it's what I needed to hear for where I am in life. I'm willing to learn from your experience. You know I like to share life's lessons on my blog and it was important to incorporate that in my giveaway and have others share their experiences so we all can grow. I can't wait for what more you have instore for your blog. I'm a faithful follower and it's great to have such a wonderful person as my blogger friend.

I look forward to your changes in 2012, you are doing great things here! So glad to have connected with you.
In 2012, as far as blog goals, I really hope to expand the message of the blog (which is in the title, Life is Hard Laugh Anyway).
I know I need to fine tune it a bit to bring it all together, but I like to believe I am going in the right direction. ;)

I'm not sure what my blog plans are for 2012. I have been struggling to post since baby boy arrived so maybe I'll just be able to post more often? As for my life, as crazy as it sounds now, we'll probably start talking baby #2 ;)

Initially, one of the reasons I started my blog was to share with others but also to inspire and be inspired by others to live our dreams. I want to focus a bit more on that in the new year.

Wow, you go girl! I feel inspired just reading this post.

I definitely need to make big change for 2012. This year was quite a difficult one. In fact, everything that could have gone wrong, did. I, too, have some health issues regarding my thyroid, I have been going through an ugly custody battle, my fiance and I had to postpone our wedding for financial and personal reasons...among a lot of other stuff. And I have questioned my faith every step of the way. I'm hoping that next year I can learn that some things are just beyond my control so there is no point in making myself sick worrying about every little thing. I'm hoping that I can be more focused on positive things rather than all the negativity around me.

Keep up the great work on your blog! I always enjoy coming by to read! :-)

I just hope to survive 2011 first!!! :)
Seriously, though, I am excited for 2012. I'm always excited, though. In February of 2012, Mr. A and I will have been engaged for two years. Whoa.

I usually start thinking about goals or changes closer to the end of the year. I will spend time praying and looking back over my journal. I am not sure what direction my life or my blog will take this year.

My blog has definitely gotten more spiritual than before. I think the freedom we feel here in Belize makes it easier to truly be myself as opposed to the oppression we felt during our time in Russia.

What a great quote to live by! I'm looking forward to finally moving into the house we bought a few months ago, but it needs tons of work before we can do that!

Rolex has some very specific goals in mind for 2012! Our largest goal will be buying a home and we definitely need some focus for this! :)
I am so excited about your series! I have jabbering on and on about it to Rod! :)
Your words about celebrating positivity are very wise. I am such a huge believer in the power of positive energy. I actually remind myself of it everyday.

I so love your blog! I look forward to reading it every single day! Thank you!
