I was reminded recently that the world is small and it's important to be kind!
This realization came through when i received an email from one of my readers
who knew me from grade 8!
Grade 8...that was like a million years ago.
Through several emails we came to the conclusion that indeed
we attended the same school and knew the same people.
I didn't remember her directly however she knew me because of my grade 8 boyfriend...
aka: CareBear...he was the sweetest boy ever!
They were neighbors and apparently CareBear always talked about me on the school bus.
And she remembered me...
not necessarily of my interactions with her but because of her intereactions with CareBear...
he spoke well of me because we were kind to each other.
9 degress of separation is real people and the world is small...
i didn't know this girl from anywhere
but she remembered our mutual friend well enough to remember me.
Imagine if i had mean spirited to him...he would have spoke mean spirited about me.
I haven't spoken to CareBear in years but here i am meeting someone that knows him.
We never know the kind of impression we are making and how it comes back to us.
The world is small...be kind!

It is a small world and yes be kind because you will leave a lasting impression on someone so make it a good one. And here's my story...while blogging I ran across the girl my ex cheated on me with. Ha ha crazy small world!
I met a friend through myspace, who turns out, lived in the same apt complex as I!
It is crazy how you can reconnect with people through online avenues. And the world is getting smaller because of social media, you can connect with so many people in so many ways.
Ah hah! I found it :)...with some help from you, of course. What a great reminder...the world is very small.
So true! I'm very careful what I say about others on my blog, since you never know who could be reading. Being nice is important for so many reasons in life!

The world is so small! My old best friend from elementary school found me on Facebook and it was SO fun to catch up!

Yes I always try to be kind to people, you never know who they know. And yes! I just had drinks with a fellow Iowa blogger last friday, it was sooo much fun!

that is really crazy. I haven't reconnected with anyone yet but its always possible right? its so important to be kind because then those are the type of people that show up in our lives in between those yucky ones, lol.

I did come across a blogger who went to college with me. I thought her face looked familiar. Through emails we did conclude that we knew each other from back then. It is indeed a small world. You never know who you are talking to.
Amen to that! You never know who you'll run into again or who knows who or what people are going through. I always like to say "be kinder than necessary." You just never ever know.
