Good Monday Morning Friends...
Church service yesterday was just what my spirit needed.
Sometimes you don't know what your spirit needs until it receives it!
God is always on time isn't he?
One of the songs the Youth Choir sang was "My God is Awesome!"
and the song reminds us exactly why our God is truly awesome.
The lyrics made me pause to reflect on some, just some, of the reasons my God is Awesome...
1. This time last year, i was recovering from thyroid surgery.
2. This time last year i could barely move my neck
3. This time last year, i was touching the hem of Jesus' garment
because i knew if i did so i would be heeled.
4. Today, i am healthy and strong and free of thryoid cancer.
5. Today, i am pregnant with the sweetest baby boy in the world
6. Today, i am loved and surrouned by family and friends who love me unconditionally.
6. Today, i continue to praise and worship The One who loves me the most.
These are just some of the reasons why my God is awesome!

My God is awesome because 9 months ago I hit a snag in the road and dealt with a bout of depression. Instead of running to the doctor's to get a prescription for anit-depressants, I depended on my God to be my strength, my life, and to reveal my purpose...9 months later, I am still dealing with the snag but I am not where I was! Only for His grace and mercy!

God is so very good. I don't always understand things in the moment, but he makes it clear later why things happen. I'm happy for your blessings!
My God is awesome because of the way he has molded and changed my heart to try to follow His. Thank you for this inspiration, especially the first part of tthe work week when it's so easy to get a case of the Monday's. I didn't know you were a thyroid patient - so am I. Mine wasn't cancerous, but I did have to get my thyroid removed (I wrote about it here: http://www.thekimblekrew.com/2012/02/feeling-little-off-have-your-thyroid.html).
So glad you are cancer-free. I know that had to be pretty scary.
As for your question about how awesome God is, I could go on ALL DAY on how he keeps on blessing me (and reminding me to lean not on my own understanding when there are minor and major bumps in the road). He is absolutely amazing.

Oh Amen! So glad to hear you are in a completely better place. Thyroid cancer, any cancer actually, is no joke! Thank God you are better. And congrats on the baby!!!

God is so good all the time! Amen, I totally agree!! God is good to me for so so so many reasons. I'm healthy, alive, enjoying the life he provides for me, and just gave birth to a gorgeous baby girl three weeks ago. We are so blessed!!

My God is awesome because everyday he protects me and provides for me in the best possible way. I am pregnant again with baby #2 and I couldn't feel more blessed. Thank you God for being so awesome everyday.

Yes he is! That's why each and every morning and night I bow down on my knees and thank him! Joy or sorrow I thank him, for without him I am nothing.
