What I Did Last Night...

Lately, Mr. Pancakes has been working extra hard
so it was nice last night to be able to veg out infront of the television
 and watch some brainless TV.
 When you don't have cable...
you are limited to whatever the networks are offering in free full eipodes.
Therefore, our choice last night was America's Got Talent.
And then we discovered a new show: The Glass House on
It's like Big Brother only the house is glass
and the audience interacts with the contestants by choosing their fate.
It's brainless television at it's best!
Plus, it's always fun to see what happens when grown-ass people
are thrown into these types of situations.
By the end of four episodes, Mr. Pancakes knew the name of the contestants
and he never watches TV unless it's a sports event.

Since we don't have cable, we have been using
HDMI cable to connect the laptop to the TV and it works great.
We feel like we are watching TV without all the unneccessary commercials.
Thanks Sis for the tip about HDMI.

All we have to invest in now is Hulu or Netflix and
we should be good to go with more TV watching time.
I think this is going to come in handy during late night feedings with Baby Pancakes.

Needless to say, last night was a wonderful night with my husband.
An impromptu session of reality TV...gotta love it!
Tonight i catch up on America's Got Talent...don't tell me who was eliminated!!

Question of the Day:
What did you watch on TV last night?

We thought about going the Netflix route but there are a few things we have to watch on TV particularly sports events. I imagine at some point cable will disappear and everything will be internet streaming. I didn't watch it last night but I did DVR Dallas. ;)

We watched reruns of the Jamie Fox show last night. I need to look into netflix and all the others, I'm tired of paying these high cable bills.

I watch WAY too much reality television. Last night I watched the Housewives of Orange County Reunion Part I, Dance Moms and Pregnant in Heels. Thank goodness for my DVR!

I've never seen that show, but it definitely sounds like a great guilty pleasure. Last night, I watched America's Best Sandwich on Travel. Each episode features a different region of the country and three different sandwiches competing for the best from that area. In the finale, the winners from each region will face-off.

we're actually big America's Got Talent fans, so we watched that after we got home from church!

TV? I wish! I only have time to watch one show a week, and that's VH1's Single Ladies. Love that show!

I've been trying to get rid of cable for a couple of years now, but my husband isn't having it. How'd you guys decide to do it?

We don't have cable either and we do the same thing and plug our laptop up to the tv. Mindless tv is the best kind of tv :-)

we have cable tv otherwise we would not have any channels here in Belize. Netflix and Hulu do not work here. Tom and I caught part of Glass House last night and thought it was interesting...not sure if I will keep watching though.

Late to comment, but we're all about the HDMI! We've been watching Game of Thrones and have declared it's better than Mad Men which was our previous favorite show of the moment (along with Walking Dead).

I love Netflix but I don't watch it as often as I could, but less watching a screen is a win situation for me. i am trying to spend more time with AOI when she is awake and watch less screens, i have a great room for improvement it that section
