Olympic Moments..

Good Morning Friends...
Mr. Pancakes saw how sad i was not being able to watch the Olympics...
so he went and got me this contraption that allows
us to have regular channel without dealing
with the dreaded cheating and conniving Cable companies.
I TRULY love my man!!

That being said, i have enjoyed many Olympic moments thus far this weekend.
And i've been in awe of the athleticism...how the athletes push their bodies to the max..it's incredible.
I am also loving all the amazing stories of the athletes working hard to realize their dream.
It's quite emotional if you watch it long enough...

My favorite moments thus far include:

Golden Girl Gabby Douglas
Amazing that at such a young age, she knew what she wanted,
she dedicated herself to her craft and is enjoying success at the highest level.
And she seems to have the best kind of positive attitude!

Oscar Pistorius
I think it's pretty amazing that he is defying the idea
that a person's limitations (double amputee) has to prevent them from doing what they love.
He qualified for the 400meters!
Plus he is a cutie pootie with an awesome ascent!

Serena Williams
She was so excited to win the Gold...
she was having fun out there like a little girl!
You could definitely tell winning thnis meant a lot of her.

Jessica Ennis
I had no idea what a hepthalon was until last night...
but British Athlete did her thing by winning in high fashion.
And her abs...this will be my abs once this baby comes out.
I can dream right?!

Michael Phelps

The most decorated Olympian...who wins 22 medals, 18 of them gold?
He has made many memorial memories.
Baby Pancakes is definitely getting into the swimming pool soon as he is old enough!

Question of the Day:
What has been your favorite Olympic moments thus far?

My condolences go out to the families and friends of those involved in the
Wisconsin Sikh Temple shooting.
So much hatred in our world despite all the positivity that is coming out of the Olympics.
Smile at someone today...

I was on vacation so I didn't get to watch most of the fun moments last week BUT I did manage to catch Gabby Douglas a few times and can I just say seeing her made me REALLY proud! All we heard about prior was Jordyn Weiber and while I was sad that Jordyn didn't make it further, I was still VERY proud of Gabby!

Do you know you just basically summed up all my favourite athletes? :p haha! I've been really enjopying watching the Olympics, I might even say I watch a little bit too much tv haha :) Serena is so great - I mean winning in 3 Olympics in a row is quite the prestation... I also like Murray (because he deserved to win something). Great post!

For me it's Team USA Gymnastics and Gabby Douglas in AA gold. I also love, love Pistorius. I will never be in the Olympics with two legs...or even if I had three!!! It's just amazing what he's done. It was so cool watching him race and of course I didn't want him to finish last but that name tag exchange with James was so amazing and that he competed is still such a huge accomplishment.

This year's Olympics have been amazing! I am so happy for Gabby and the rest of the U.S. women's gymnastics team for their wins. Those ladies rock!

Yesterday, my country came together to cheer for a man who gave us all a hope to finally get a gold medal in Badminton. He didn't manage to get the gold for the 2nd time but he definitely won all our hearts with his true sportsmanship and "never give up" attitude. To the world, he might be 2nd best but to us, he is our best. I'm very proud of him to be able to even stand on that podium to receive a medal.

*Greece is definitely a must to visit. Especially the islands =)

Loved all those moments...my favorite so far might be Gabby's speech after she won...giving all the glory to God! Love it!

Or maybe it was Aly Raisman's parents as they were watching her uneven bars routine...loved that video!

As much as I pay for internet you would think the Olympics would be online. lol. Not. lol. They are but only if you pay. that's horrible. I love to watch the highlights however.

that is so sweet of your husband to go out and get that tv thingy for you rather than buy cable.

I've really enjoyed the olympics this year, and the story of Gabby Douglas is amazing. It was said on the news today that her dad rarely paid child support..well with all these endorsement deals...she's made it.
