You've heard of couples who look alike...
but what about couples who dress alike?
Remember Justin and Britney when they were dating?
Yup they dressed alike.

But this couple, Joey and Mel Schwanke have taken this to a whole new level
And i couldn't help but share!
The Schwankes have been married for 65years and dressing alike for 35years of them.
The couple have 146 matching outfits, all custom made.
They say their longlasting relationship is not necessarily due to dressing alike
but because they love and respect each other.
Mrs. Schwanke says:
"To this day, if he does something for me I thank him, she says.
"If we run into each other, we say excuse me.
We fully respect each other and consider each other with every decision we make."
Mr. Pancakes and i will not be addressing alike (everyday)
but i love the sentiment of being so close to your partner!!
And that i thought was beautiful and worth sharing!

i was going to sasy, i love the way jada/will smith and david/victoria beckham dresses, but then..... i saw schwanke's photo on the bottom. hands down, they are the best-dressed couple.:)

How cute is that last couple! My boyfriend likes to dress alike when we go out. He always has to know what I'm wearing or tells me what color he's wearing so I can wear something similar.
How adorable are they!?! J and I always joke that we're going to be the old couple who dresses alike. :)

We don't dress alike now, but I could definitely see ourselves as that old couple in the future.
I don't min complementing my hunni's outfit but minimal color coordination is the farthest I would take it! But that last couple are super adorable!
When Patrick and I go out to events or weddings, he always asks what I wear, to make sure that he matches :) Not QUITE to this extent, but just enough to know that we'll look good together if any pictures are taken :)

hubs and i don't dress alike at all ... kinda makes me want to, haha.
That is so cute! I think that too many marriages today end because couples forget how important it is to treat one another with compassion and respect.
I will match certain colors but a full ensemble, no. This was a cute post.
I think there is a difference between dressing alike and matching. My hubby and I MATCH for special occasions like weddings and such but we've never worn the exact same thing.
However The Schwankes... adorable!
Oh man... I remember that Justin and Britney denim disaster. LOL. Glad they grew up. Will and Jada. though, are one HOT couple.
It is a cute concept, we don't dress alike on purpose but often end up wearing the same colors. lol
There are times when Tom and I wear coordinating outfits...and it doesn't even happen on purpose!

I love the idea of dressing alike Not all the time of course. But sometimes your brains just work so well together you dont purposely do it.
I LOVE dressing alike. Even though my boyfriend and I just broke up, he still bought us matching T-shirts to wear to a movie lol
I think it's cute in the elderly couple. But I hated when Justin and Britney did it because it looked so forced and phony. The matching denim outfits were the worst
Will and I don't dress "alike", but I don't want to wear a pastel shirt and him wear red or some other dark color, so I do monitor what we wear together. I would be totally ok with wearing matching stuff, though...SOMETIMES I think it's cute ;)
LOL, I would love to dress like DH, but he won't have it. If I wear anything that remotely resembles his outfit he'll change. :-)
