Over two years ago, i wrote my first post entitled: Why Blog?
and listed the following as to the reasons why
i want to blog and share the following experiences:
1) tying the knot
On April 23, 2011, we tied the knot in a beautiful wedding that i still marvel at.
It was truly one of the best days of my life.
I am blessed Mr. Pancakes is my man.
2) being debt free
I became debt-free before we got engaged in 2010.
It was one of my best accomplishments when i paid off my car and student loans.
It truly is a wonderful feeling.
And thank God we were debt free before wedding and baby.
3) finding a nest
We are currently in an apartment however we have
a plan to purchase a house in the next year or two.
We are definitely moving to the South just because we love it over there.
And it will be a great place to raise Baby Pancakes.
4) establishing a family business
Mr. Pancakes started his company full time and i have to say
it is the best feeling ever seeing my husband doing what he loves and doing it well.
There were some fears on my part because being
an entrepreneur you never know how it's going to turn out....
but i believe in my husband and trust that he will always have his family's interest at heart.
5) getting the bump
We weren't expecting a bump so soon but so glad
Baby Pancakes decided to make his debut.
Sometimes plans don't always go the way you plan it and thank goodness....
God had other plans for us.
Because now that Baby Pancakes is here...
i cannot imagine our lives without him.
It feels like he has always been part of our lives.
6) enjoying my husband and family
This goes without saying.
We've been spending a lot of time together and i couldn't be happier.
We have a few family trips planned out and i can't wait to make (and share) more memories.
Amazingly all the reasons (experiences) i wanted to start
and share a blog are coming true and it makes my heart smile.
Blogging has become such a creative outlet for me and it's been a wonderful experience.
I cannot imagine life without it...seriously it's become such a big part of my daily life.
In a good way...i hope blogging never becomes a chore
because hat's when i know...it's no longer for me.
I want to be able to take from blogging all that it has to offer and then some!
For example a by-product of blogging has been
meeting some amazing ladies (from all over the country)
who i have come to admire. Networking with these ladies.
And i only look forward to building more friendships as time goes on.
Another by-product is making some extra money
which hasn't happened in abundance however the potential is there.
Looking back at why i started blogging...i am so so glad i did.
I can't believe i didn't do it earlier!!!
Question of the Day:
Is the reason you started blogging still the same?
Or have your reasons completely changed?

And thank you for opening up and sharing your life with us!
My reasons for blogging have changed, then slightly altered. Growth is essential, right? When I started out over two years ago with Spoon Full of Sugar, I wanted it to basically be random rants regarding my life and experiences. I did a few posts, and it quickly died down. Eventually I stopped completely.
Then a year or later, I started to come across all of these wonderful blogs with ladies who showcased their personal styles! This made me look at my own style and wonder... How do I define my style? Am I open to stepping outside of my comfort zone to try more daring things?
As I answered these questions, I also found that I needed a hobby.
My want to blog again resurfaced, but with a change in direction. I wanted to take a look at my style and document certain changes and tweaks. Push myself to try new things.
My husband just started a new job being his own boss, and I agree-it IS scary! Faith in God my friend, that will help us get through :)
My reasons haven't changed. I have always loved to write and to document my life. So in a way, its more about sharing what's going on with me.
I do also enjoy reading other people's blogs so I feel like its only fair I share mine too :-).
I blog because I love to write and take photos and blogging gives me a perfect excuse to do both.
My reason has not changed although I am trying to get out there more. I have been blogging for almost 3 years and I have yet to see some of the perks people get and they have just been blogging for a couple of months. I want to combine both of my blogs into one some type of way I am still thinking on that.
This is a great post! I'll have to copy you sometime with this theme. I think that it is soooo amazing that you are debt-free. I can't wait til that day, which is why I'm okay with renting and not owning. Student loans suck. :-(
We have something in common with having a child earlier than planned. That and seeing other stay at home moms (with 2 kids close in age) is what has made blogging such a blessing for me.
i did the same couple of fews again, i wanted to have my blog to de-stress and keep myself motivated to stay health and fit throughout pregnancy and beyond. it was going out of the drain but i am going back to basis at baby steps.
I think mine are the same and different. At first it was to keep in touch with friends and family but now, it just feels like an extension of who I am. My friends and family still use it to see what I'm up to but it's so much more now.
PS I loved that you went through your reasons again. Even though I've been following your blog for a while there were a number of things that I didn't know :)
New Giveaway on the Blog!
You have done a great job evolving on the topics you discuss here on your blog
My reasons for blogging are still the same. Although my content and platform have changed, I'm so glad I decided to showcase a little about my life and a lot about my personal style and love of fashion. It's been an amazing journey and the connections to other bloggers has been extremely rewarding!
My reasons are still the same however, I didn't know the joy and community I would get from blogging. That is the part I appreciate the most!
Thank goodness you started blogging! I am go glad to have been able to ride along with you on your adventures! You have accomplished so many goals and I'm looking forward to your future goals!
I decided to blog because I am an avid scrapbooker...I found that creating a blog was very similar to scrapbooking - only my friends and family could drop in and see what I was up to! Someday, Rod and I will be able to show our children the story of our life together. It's a wonderful thing! When I started the blog, I had no idea that there was a whole blogger community of wonderful women (and a few guys) out there! I have made so many new friends! Love it!
I started blogging because of your #5 The Bump. I got pregnant this summer and since my family and friends are across the country I wanted somewhere they could go to hear all about my journey and get updates (sans FB). Once I started I became addicted! I look forward to seeing how my reasons and blog change a year from now!
My reason for starting YUMMommy is still the same. I still enjoy sharing my journey and day to day issues with others and making a connection those in my similar situation. I wished I would have started blogging earlier too because a lot of doors have been opened for me.
Great question that got me thinking!! I started blogging because I was looking for an outlet, and way to reach out to others. Just a glimer of hope that I could help someone with what they are going through, they way someone helped me get through my experiences. I have actually found it as very theraputic. I am not one to share a whole lot, as I try to figure things out on my own, but blogging has helped me just get it out there :)
