Answering the Questions....

QUESTIONS ANSWERED.....
(THERE ARE A LOT OF WORDS AND LIMITED PICTURES)

I have been totally procrastinating about answering the questions
you asked a while ago so here goes.
Oh and Mr. Pancakes is a man of a few words when it comes to answering your questions...
but he did it! Thank you my dearest hubby and
Thank you dearest readers for Asking Away!
And here are our answers...

********************************************

1. How do you feel about your wife blogging?
Mr. Pancakes: I think blogging is great for her, its a nice creative outlet.

2. How do you feel about your wife blogging?
Mr. Pancakes: There are topics off limits,
but i think my wife would talk about them anyway if she wanted.
Mrs. Pancakes: My hubby makes it seem like i am not a good listener BUT he is right...
i will try to be more sensitive to the topics that are off limits!!!)

3. Mr. & Mrs. Pancakes, do your friends know about and/or read the blog?
Mr. Pancakes: None of my friends read my wife's blog.
Mrs. Pancakes: Some of my friends/family know about my blog
but ONLY my BFF (hey BFF!) reads it diligently and she always has the best feedback! Thanks BFF!

4. Mr. P, When and why did you become a fitness instructor?
Mr. Pancakes: I started training 6 year ago.
I wanted to make a real difference in peoples lives and  not promote gimmicks or fads.
Mrs. Pancakes: even though i am always trying to convince him
to come up with something to make quick money
like develop a pill or some fat burning gadget.
He says NO--i guess i married an honest man!)

5. What are the Team Pancakes' plans for children?
How many children can we look forward to?
Mr. Pancakes: Maybe in a few years.
And ONE child will do but whatever God has planned is what happens.
Mrs. Pancakes: We've talked about one child too BUT
who knows what God has in store...maybe we will have a whole house filled with
Baby Pancakes in the near future.

6. Tell us about the newlywed sex life.
Is Team Pancakes already acting like an old married couple?
Mr. Pancakes:  We do act like an old married couple,
so maybe when we're old we will act like young newlyweds.
Mrs. Pancakes: We do act like an old married couple
because the transition between dating and marriage was so fluid
and things have fallen into place probably because we were shacking up before marriage:-)
We are still learning about each other but i think we don't
have the complete awkwardness that comes with being newlyweds.
But i like what my husband has to say about acting like young newlyweds when we are older!

7. I saw a prompt about running.
Did you run track before? If so, were you a sprinter or long distance runner?
Mr. Pancakes: I ran track in high school, and I ran the 200 and 400 meter sprints.
Mrs. Pancakes: When i was in high school, coaches
thought i was on the track team but i was in drama and student government.
I ran a 10K about six years ago.  I am currently training for half-marathon.
The training has slowed down a great deal BUT i am still planning to kick some butt soon!!
It's been one of the best things i have done in a long time.

8. What are your favorite workout routines to do together as a couple?
Does working out together help you keep motivated?
Mr. Pancakes: We don't really have a workout routine together.
We just like being at the gym working out together.
Its more fun than motivation for us at the gym.
But we still work hard and keep each other accountable.
Mrs. Pancakes: It's always fun when we go to the gym together.
We don't always get a chance because of our work schedule
but Mr. Pancakes is right because we do keep each other accountable
and YES i do work out harder when i work out with the hubby.

 9. Mrs. Pancakes, what is your favorite meal from start to finish?
Mrs. Pancakes: Mmmhmm, love this question...i do like a good salad to start off.
Then a Ghanaian dish called Jollof rice, with baked chicken.
And then to end it off with a chocolate cake.
I could eat this meal every single day for the rest of my life if i could.
I would also be 300lbs if i did so.

10. Mrs. Pancakes, I loved learning how you lived in Canada.
What part and why did you move?
I lived in the burbs of Brampton and Mississauga
which are both close to Toronto, one of the biggest metropolitan in Canada.
I moved for LOVE.
When i met Mr. Pancakes, everything kind of clicked
and it just made sense for me to move because it was easier because of our jobs.
I told him i wasn't moving for LOVE but i had to say something.

11. What do you think about Prop 8 being overturned?
I never want to get political on this blog BUT
i think Prop 8 is an important bill and it's unfortunate that it has been overturned.
I always wondered what happens to those who have already married,
does Prop 8 negate their marriages?
The state in which i live recently legalized gay marriage
and i hope it helps to make individuals feel supported in our Society.

12. Mrs. Pancakes, What's your secret to a successful blog?
I am going to leave this question for another post
because i am FAR from having a successful blog
but i want to explore the importance of having and achieving a successful blog.
So more on in another post.

*********************************************

It's definitely FUN to do these open forums because the best part is you never know the questions that are going to come.  It was fun for Mr. Pancakes to participate.
Hope you guys are having a great week!

I also love when I get to work out with the hubby ... I tend to work out harder when I know he will see me on a treadmill or something, haha.

Fun questionnaire! They eat jollof rice in Nigeria too. It was my daughter's favorite food during our trip. Now I need to learn to make it . . .
