Secret Newlywed Behaviors: The List

This SNB is more pre-marriage but oh well...i still want to share!

Before i met Mr. Pancakes, i made a list of the qualities i wanted in a life partner.
You could say the men around me weren't cutting it
so i thought i would put pen to paper and list the qualities i was looking for
i wanted to list dream up the perfect man into being!
don't judge me...
whenever i want to focus on a goal, it helps to make a list.

Recently i came across the list and thought i would share with my lovely readers.

Great list! It's cool to see that your list didn't include physical features until #9. I can't stand when women focus on looks before anything else. You did good girl!

OH MY GOD I SO had a list- actually, I had a joke list- full of the most ridiculous stuff... and three days later, I met my dream man!!!! He had everything except knowing the physical pain of childbirth. I can't say I do either, so I accepted it. Well done, lady!

I used to have a list in my head until I finally prayed about things and let go. Sure enough, my husband walked into my life shortly after and was the complete opposite of most things I thought I wanted. Funny how it works sometimes.

Maybe slow to act means he thinks before he acts, instead of making a rash decision or choice? Glad you found your man!

I definitely made a list! It would be interesting to post mine too if I can find it (would you mind if I copy?) :) As far as I remember my husband fits them all to a T.

I'm totally rethinking my strategy (which really isn’t a strategy at all) so I will definitely be making that list. I know you shouldn’t search and it (love) should find you but I’m trying to prepare myself for the journey there because so far it hasn’t been easy. You should do a guest post over on my blog with some dating advice so I can find me a Mr. Pancakes too!

Wow! This is so awesome! Ask and you shall receive, right? Isn't it wonderful when we find someone who has every quality we could possibly dream of?
You two are definitely perfect for each other!

Hey Mrs. P.

I just had this same conversation with Nan @ LBD Dairies. When I prayed for a man of God, he gave me a preacher man. When I prayed he had to tall, God gave me 6.2'. When I prayed for God to choose for me, he gave someone I would not have picked for myself, and you know what he is the best thing that ever happened to me.

I TOTALLY had a list! What little girl didn't, though?? I'm happy to report that Graham met every requirement on my list, plus ones my naive little brain couldn't have imagined I'd want. :)

I'm not quite sure about #14 either :). My man possesses most of the qualities on your list. That's good to know, I guess :). Although, I do wish he's also play scrabble with me, as I am a fanatic of the game! (I even joined a tournament once!)
I'm happy for you, that you have found your dream guy :)

I think it is a great list you put together! I am just looking for tall, dark hair, 6 figure salary, no sisters, advanced degree, nice teeth, and no snoring...oh and he has to like to go shopping. Yeah I know he does not exist! All things put aside, I realize that you should look for someone who is honest with good values..and so forth... I am not looking right now, just no time...AHHHHH

Mrs. Pancakes said...

Bessie...he might exist...just keep that list and you never when you least expect it:-)

I had a list too. I believe in the ask and you shall receive. God is very loving and thoughtful like that. Every wish come at the right time but you have to know which is your wish.

I had a list and my hubby fit every single one of my criteria. I had random things on mine too like, "likes cold chinese food" and "reads real books, not just magazines." :)
