30 Day Photo Challenge: Days 27-30

10 Go Team Pancakes!

Happy Friday...i might do Friday Funnies later today
but I wanted to wrap up the final day of 30 Day Photo Challenge
and it's bittersweet because I've really enjoyed taking pictures throughout the month.
And not only did it allow me to be grateful for the
small things in life like a ray of sunlight or the love that comes
by holding hands with my son, it is also taught me
that I can be committed to something for longer than a week.
So without further delay here are the remaining days.

Positively Present Photo Challenge

Day 27: Daily Routine
Since I started work, pumping has become part of my daily routine.
And as cumbersome as I thought it would be, it has been quite an easy transition.
It's amazing that stuff that you never think about can become such an easy part of your daily life.

Day 29: Light
I took this picture one morning as the light from the rising sun was shinning through the blinds.  It looked warm but I remember it being cold outside that morning.

 Day 28: Nighttime
There is always something beautiful about the night time, especially when the sun is setting.
So peaceful.  And this has become the best part of my day,
coming home before the sunsets because that's when
my day really begins with my little man and big man and I LOVE that.

Day 30: Self Portrait
This is what self looks like at 3:00am after nursing.
I look tired but who wouldn't at 3:00am.

Thank you for joining me on this 30-Day Challenge.
I am grateful for this Month that was.

30 Day Photo Challenge: Days 19-26

5 Go Team Pancakes!

I have several days worth of pictures for the 30 Day Photo Challenge
because the month is almost over.
This has been an awesome challenge and one I would do again.
It is a commitment though I must say.

Day 19: Best Friend
I don't have to say much with this picture.
There is nothing sexier than watching my best friend with our baby.

Day 20: Seasonal
I loved the colors on these trees.  So vibrant.
And i love how the leaves are falling down because it's getting colder.

Day 20: Where You Sleep
I LOVE when little man is cuddled up in our bed.
He is so teeny tiny!

Day 22: Clothing
So i purchaed five of the same shirts from H & M, all different designs, because they are easy for nursing purposes.  And they are cute to wear too.

Day 23: In My Closet
My closet is not the most organized but I try.
Obviously I didn't take a picture of my floor (heehee).
But don't you love all the colors in my closet!!

Day 24: Gratitude
Thanksgiving was all the gratitude we felt.  And Baby Pancakes
has been holding his hands together in a praying motion
and this is the best example of gratitude I could think of.

Day 25: Artwork
I purchased this picture (artwork) for over ten years.
Purchased it at my first college Art Show.
It's traveled with me everytime I've moved.
And I can't believe now I have a little one of my own.

Day 26: Transportation
Team Pancakes' transportation side by side.
Bought and paid for...it rides a lot smoothier this way.
Although i want an Acura MDX...i don't want any more car payments.

30 Day Photo Challenge: Days 14-18

6 Go Team Pancakes!

What do I do in between nursing in the middle of the night...
I try to stay awake long enough to pump so I play Words with Friends, read blogs and come up with amazing post ideas...this morning nothing came to mind so here is my photo challenge pictures!
Happy Wednesday!

Here are my days 14-18 of the 30 Day Photo Challenge.

Positively Present Photo Challenge

                                                Day 14: Movement
Of course I had to try taking a picture of Baby Pancakes moving.
He has been a little mover since he was in the womb so it's not surprising he is such a mover.
We were lying in bed and he kept on moving his hands trying to put his fingers in his mouth.
He always has his fingers in a boxing pose...it's the cutest thing!

                                                  Day 15: Technology
I chose Skype on the iPad because it's become one of those technologies
that I use frequently to communicate with my family and friends.
Recently one of my childhood friends gave birth and I was
able to meet the baby through this technology and it was a wonderful experience.
I am thankful for technology.

                                                       Day 16: Animals
Lions, elephant and bears oh my.
I cheated a bit and took pictures of Baby Pancakes' playard friends who are animals.
But aren't they the cutest thing...so colorful.
I am thankful for these little animals Baby Pancakes will come to know well as he grows.

 Day 17: Memories
12/29/2011 was the day we officially found out we were pregnant with
Baby Pancakes and as you can tell I was completely over the moon
as I recorded this wonderful news in my journal.  It was such a memorable experience.
And I can't believe the one year anniversary of that day is coming up.

                                          Day 18: Something New
My new boots which I am in LOVE with because they
will be replacing my favorite boots which no longer fit because my feet has grown.
It's a sad day but at least I have something new!!

30 Day Photo Challenge

9 Go Team Pancakes!

Onto Days 9-13 of the 30-Day Photo Challenge.
Honestly I'm enjoying this challenge...so much fun!

Positively Present Photo Challenge

Day 9: Inspiring Person
I took a picture of this photo online:-)
Definitely without a doubt, it has to be Barack Obama.  Being President of any country is difficult but being a Black Man and President is definitely difficult.  But i am inspired because he holds his position with such ease and grace...it's something to be emulated.  And the way he loves his wife...beautiful!!!

Day 10: Nature
I captured this beautiful sight around 4:15pm in the afternoon.  I loved how the trees met at the top and how the light was shinning through...it is such a gorgeous picture.

Day 11: Something Old
This is an old tree in my neighborhood...it's amazing with all the storms we've had lately...it still stands sturdy and strong...that's the beauty about something old sometimes.

Day 12: Hands
I LOVE this picture.  I was feeding Baby Pancakes and whenever we are nursing...he holds onto my fingers and it's just the best thing ever.  And the contrast of my hand and his hand is just breathtaking that he is soo tiny and someday he will have bigger hands than mine!!! God is amazing i tell you.  I am so thankful for this little guy!

Day 13: Written Words
I decided to capture these written words from a children's book i was reading to Baby Pancakes.  I loved this page because after the election and all the hatred that came with it...i was reminded of how similar we are as a human race.

The previous days are found here:
Days 1-4 are here.
Days 5-8 are here.

30 Day Photo Challenge: Days 5-8

5 Go Team Pancakes!

Happy Friday...i am continuing with my 30-Day Photo Challenge.
I am having a really fun time doing these challenges...
I am actually taking ALL the pictures with my iPhone
but have been editing with Instagram which makes it even more fun.

Here are my Days 5-8.

Positively Present Photo Challenge

Day 5: Morning Sky
I actually have two pictures to illustrate this.  The first picture i took at 10:00am on Day 5 because i forgot to take it earlier while i was feeding Baby Pancakes.  So i remembered to take another one around 5:30am on Day 6 and what a difference in the morning sky within the five years! The morning sky reminded me of how spectacular God is!

10:00am

5:30am

Day 6: Books

I decided to take a picture of books on my bookshelf I have to read more and yet to read.  I have been trying to read through the Bible for years but always stop for some reason.  And also Eckhart Tolle's books and have not been able to complete them.  One of my friend's informed me it's life changing.
With this challenge...I am reminded it's important to just do it...my goal is to read one of these books by the end of the year.  I used to be such an avid reader.

Day 7: Something Funny
I took a picture in a magazine of Kelly and Michael during their Halloween Costume show.  I watched it and thought they were hilarious.  They dressed up in over 40 different costumes and each skit they did was funny! I loved Kelly as the the Long Island Medium and Michael as Oprah.  They were so funny!!!!

Day 8: Favorite Color
I snapped a picture of a top i contemplated buying while I was out shopping today.  I ended up NOT buying it because i realized it's NOT fun shopping when I have extra mommy weight.  But nevertheless...i LOVE the color YELLOW and it usually puts me in a good mood but oy vey....i need to get raid of this extra weight!!

All in all...Days 5-8 have been filled with God's grace through the morning sky,
reminder to read a verse in the Bible daily and reflection on health and wellness...
who knew that taking a picture of my favorite color
would motivate me to begin living my healthy lifestyle sooner rather than later.

Days 1-4 can be found here.

30 Day Photo Challenge: Days 1-4

16 Go Team Pancakes!

Good Morning Ladies and Gents...
Are there really any Gents out there that blog like ladies do?
Anywho i digress....hope you are having a wonderful Monday...
And that you have already VOTED...if not this morning...sometime later today.
Tomorrow should be an exciting day...

But back to this morning and my 30 Day Photo Challenge...
so far it's been fun coming up with things in my life that are related to Gratitude.
The most challenging aspect of this challenge is remembering to complete the daily task:
capturing the gratitude.
I am getting used to it.
And the challenge is reminding me to be thankful in the moment.

Without further delay...here are my Days 1-4.

Positively Present Photo Challenge

Day 1: Favorite Food
Hands down....my favorite food is rice with chicken...
any kind of combination....i will eat.
I remembered to take a picture for my challenge
when i was almost done eating...that's how engrossed i get when eating rice with chicken.
FYI: my first email address was ricegirl!!

Day 2: Smile
I was watching Mr. Pancakes playing around with Baby Pancakes and i couldn't help but smile.
Seeing them together really does bring a smile to my face each and every single time.
And of course it would...both of them are my heart and soul .

Day 3: Happiness
This day is related to day 2 because Mr. Pancakes and Baby Pancakes are my happiness.
But this particular day i was feeding Baby Pancakes and couldn't help but capture his eyes.
Seriously, looking into his eyes brings me more happiness than I have ever experienced.
It's such a powerful and wonderful feeling.
I take so much pride in knowing i am responsible
for this little person who depends on me for everything.
I am thankful.

Day 4: Leaves
There are so many beautiful leaves out this fall but the two below
caught my eye because it was so rich and crisp looking!
Have you ever examined a leaf...there are so many intricacies to one.
God is amazing in all His action and creations!

Until Next Time...i recommend you sign up for the Challenge...
it's totally fun and it does remind you to be thankful and live life with gratitude!

i hope we all take this weekend to unwind and give thanks!

Positively Present Photo Challenge

I had some free time (rare nowadays) an was blog hoping and found this photo challenge
from Dani's blog Positively Present, who found it somewhere else.
Well i thought i would use this as my first challenge
because it looked easy and simple enough.
I will do my best to post at least once or twice a week
with a few of the days lumped together this way it's not boring.
I have never done a challenge before but i thought it would be fun!
There are so many photo challenges out there what a better month to do a
Gratitude Challenge than in November which brings Thanksgiving!
I hope you will enjoy it!
Or even join in the fun!

Question of the Day:
Are you doing any challenges this month?
What's been a favorite Challenge you've done on your blog?
