Please, Help Me Find A Gift For Mr. Pancakes!!!
Hello Friends!!!
I have no idea what to get Mr. Pancakes for our 2nd year anniversary.
And it's tomorrow...shame on me.
I thought i had ideas but as the days passed...i realized i had no ideas.
Zero. Zip. Nada. Nothing.
And so i am turning my blog over to my bloggy friends for some ideas.
Here are some things to know about my husband....
He is a man.
A simple man.
He likes sports (football).
He likes music.
He loves me.
He loves his baby boy.
He loves his car.
He likes to work out.
He likes watching anything related to the stock market.
He likes to read.
Any ideas after getting to know him a little bit more?
preferably something that ships over night or something i can do/make tonight.....
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Celebrating 22 Months of Love
When did I become a wife of 22 months?
In less than 2 months...i would have been married for two years...
and that's mind boggling and so exciting all at the same time.
I am linking this post up to Life of Toi's She Rocks Assignment
and choosing to share about LOVE.
The LOVE i have for Mr. Pancakes truly grows and grows
and becomes bigger and stronger every single day.
We are growing together as a couple, as individuals and as parents.
We are truly a team and this life could not be the same without him.
I am still taken aback when he looks at me because of how cute and sexy he is.
And he LOVES me like it's no one's business...
even when I annoy the heck out of him...he LOVES me.
LOVE personified would be Mr. Pancakes and myself...
Our hands together reminds me that with you anything is possible....
God is bigger than our marriage, friendship, each other and this world....
Our Baby is a reflection of this LOVE that we share....
And I LOVE YOU today more than i did the moment we said "I do!"
If you haven't signed up...go ahead and participate in She Rocks Assignment.

Celebrating 19 Months of Love
This post should have been written on November 23, 2012
but mommy brain took over...yet again.
On that day Team Pancakes celebrated 19 months of Love...
I can't believe we are nearing two years of marriage next year.
Time really flies while we are having fun.
In two days we are going to have a three month old...
that's mind boggling to me but it's true.
So much has happened since we got married and life continues to be and feel good.
We are beyond blessed everyday.
This time last year...we were going through some issues that
I truly believe has strengthened our friendship and marriage.
It has made us stronger as a unit and for this I am thankful.
I love my husband more today than I did last year
and I hope our love continues to grow and develop
stronger and better and bigger as the years pass by.
Happy 19 Months of Love Mr. Pancakes...
with you the world is exactly as it should be!!!

Celebrating 18 Months of Love
I definitely have mommy brain
because I forgot to post about Team Pancakes' anniversary on 10/23/2012
That's what happens when a baby comes into the picture
and that's alright because in celebrating our love, we also celebrate Baby Pancakes.
I can't believe it's been 18 months of love.
So much has happened in that time and it's beautiful.
We will have a two month old on Sunday and that's insane.
Having a baby has changed us individually and collectively
(because now we are mom and dad)
but the change has been so positive!
We are in love with the little man
and are so happy to watch him grow and develop.
We sometimes watch Baby Pancakes while he is sleeping
and wake and are just in awe of him!!
He truly adds to our joy in abundance.
I wish that kind of joy for everyone....
As much as our loves revolve around Baby Pancakes...
on our anniversary I'm reminded about the importance of us as a couple.
I cannot forget the reasons why we got married in the first place and had Baby Pancakes.
Baby Pancakes is the physical manifestation of our love and it is such a blessing.
Our "we" time is important so during the day we remember
to kiss, lots of cuddle time, high fives
and just love on each other with appreciative and encouraging words.
We have date night every week by watching Shark Tank.
During the week, we try and spend quality time
by watching other shows together that makes as laugh.
We talk all the time as usual...
Reminisce about the past,
talk in amazement about the present
and dream about our future as a family.
We go for walks with Baby Pancakes
and have even been out on dates to restaurants as a family of three.
Love has changed for the better as we celebrate 18 months of Love...
I am in love with my husband more today because of the wonderful father he is.
But then i always knew he would be an amazing father...
Happy 18 months babe...here is to many many more months and years!!!
Hand in hand we walk in Love Always!!

Introducing...Baby Pancakes
Happy almost Thursday Friends...one and a half more days 'til Friday and i am just excited!
I have NOTHING going on this weekend but relaxation....yaaaah!!
I wanted to share some details about Baby Pancakes!
I am not sure how often i will discuss my pregnancy on a weekly/monthly basis,
although i LOVE reading other mommy-to-be's updates but honestly it's just not me.
Plus i am not sure if i can keep up with the picutres and dates and all that comes with it!
Too much pressure!!!
Therefore i will probably blog more about some of the issues and topics
that has come up as a result of being pregnant, being a new Mom and a Mrs!
I will of course share important details as my pregnancy progresses.
The reason i waited to share our baby news during our one anniversary was
because Baby Pancakes is such a celebration of love in our lives...
i had to share the news on one of the biggest days of our lives!
I do want to share some details on Baby Pancakes.
The doctors said NOT to get pregnant within the first year after
my Thyroid Surgery so that my thyroid levels could get back to normal
but i guess GOD had other plans!
How Many Pregnacy Tests: 3 home tests and blood work
Reaction to Pregnancy: Shock and Amazingly Elated although the whole idea of pregnancy scared me and i am definitely a paranoid person...i have been doing well being positive and remembering that God is in contol over this precious baby growing inside of me!
How Far Along: 22 weeks and 4 days!
Total Weight Gain: Between fifteen and eighteen (it's all me and NOT Baby Pancakes!)
Total Weight Gain: Between fifteen and eighteen (it's all me and NOT Baby Pancakes!)
Size of Baby Pancakes: According to thebabycenter.com Baby Pancakes is the length of spaghetti squash --how awesome is that..he is almost one pound--WOOHOO!!!
Belly Button In or Out: In...but it looks like it wants to come out and play!
Stretch Marks: Not yet but i have been using cocoa butter before
i found out i was having a baby and since so maybe that's helping!
Maternity Clothes: I've been trying to to fit into my own clothes
but i've purchased a few maternity tops.
Gender: It’s a boyl!!! The first boy in Mr. Pancakes' family
in almost twenty-years so we are pretty excited.
Names: Baby Pancakes of course/we have a few names in mind.
Movement: Team Pancakes has been moving up a storm...
he likes music and was moving to Adele today.
He hiccuped last week and i thought he was suffering...it was scary!!
Funny Story: Baby Pancakes was apparently eating during the last ultrasound...it was too cute!
Sleep: I have been sleeping alright for a pregnant woman--
getting up three or twice during the night to use the bathroom...
that's the most disturbing part of my sleep
but i am assuming that's getting me ready for waking up because of the baby.
What I miss: Working out to my full capacity.
I did run my half-marathon when i was like 14 weeks---
i ran and walked and it took me 3hours, 52 minutes...
one of the most challenging and best times of my life!
What I'm looking forward to: being 6 months pregnant and moving next week!
Cravings: I won't eat it unless i have a taste for it...
so my cravings varies day to day. Today was popcorn!!
Symptoms: Overall i've been feeling really well.
No morning sickness...it's been a smooth pregnancy.
Best Moment this week: Of course our one year anniversary
and sharing Team Pancakes with you, my blog friends!

was refreshing and heart warming.
That so many people sending you positive thoughts and wishes!

As for Baby Pancakes...i will be sharing more details on this amazing experience in our lives.
Mr. Pancakes is NOT too keen on putting too much about the baby on the WWW (worldwideweb)
so i will be respectful of this. But i will try to share as much as i can with you about our experiences and our new Adventures with Baby Pancakes.
I was even more excited to learn that Guiliana and Bill Rancic are expecting a baby
as this week is National Infertility Awareness Week. Congratulations to them!!
The beautiful aspect of having children, fertility and infertility
are th options that are available to all of us women.

I am praying for all the women /families out there (this week especially)
who are trying to start a family. There is definitely hope out there.
NIAW is a week (April 22-April 28 or April 24-May 1) to Get Involved!
Speak Out About Infertility!
The theme for this week is: "Don't Ignore."
Don't Ignore....
•Weight. During the past 20 years, the prevalence of obesity in the United States has increased dramatically. According to the Centers for Disease Control and prevention, more than one-third of U.S. adults (35.7%) are obese. Weight can affect both women's and men's fertility. When a woman is overweight, excess fat can lead to higher estrogen levels, as well as anovulation (a lack of ovulation), and if the woman does become pregnant, being overweight is linked to more pregnancy complications, including miscarriages, birth defects, preeclampsia and gestational diabetes. In men, studies have found that overweight and obese men were more likely to have low sperm count, or not have any viable sperm at all.
•Chemicals in plastics. More research is finding that chemicals commonly found in plastics are linked to fertility problems. For example, bisphenol-A (BPA) —found in many hard plastics for food and drink packaging — has been linked to decreased sperm quality and quantity and reduction in normal fertilization of eggs during in vitro fertilization (IVF). In addition, a study found higher levels of phthalates, which are used to make vinyl plastics softer and more flexible and are also found in cosmetics, among infertile couples than those who have conceived naturally. Yes, plastic is convenient, but try to reduce your exposure when trying to conceive.
•Age. Surveys have found that women are not as aware as they should be on how age can affect their fertility. So here's the skinny: Age matters. Fertility in women sharply declines at age 35, and the chance of becoming pregnant each month by having unprotected intercourse is approximately 10 percent. By age 40, that chance has decreased to 5 percent. Apparently, there is a paternal biological clock, too. Mouse studies have found that sperm quality begins to decrease in mid-life.

52 Weeks of Love: Bachelorette Party
I wanted to celebrate 52 Weeks of Love by revisiting some of my favorite moments from last year, pre-wedding moments like the bachelorette party, the wedding, honeymoon, all culminating into April 23, 2012.
I can't believe it's going to be almost a year of being Mrs. Pancakes, a married woman, a wife!
Today i wanted to share moments from the Bachelorette Party....
*****************************************************
This time last year, my girls and i went to Toronto
for my bachelorette party and i must say it was one of the best nights ever!
I can't believe how quickly a year passes by so i wanted to reminisce a little.
There were the battling BFF's who managed to come together to throw an awesome party.
There was a road trip.
There were old and new friends.
There were blue and yellow dresses (per my request since it was my wedding colours).
There were matching T-Shirts (which were so creative).
There were games...yes those kinds of games.
There were kissing of random guys (on the cheek of course).
There were drinks and lots of drinking.
There was music and lots of dancing!
There were Bachelorette Crowns and huge diamond rings that sparkled.
There were high heels that were fierce that hurt the feet.
It was a night my girls allowed me to indulge and ask
and do anything i wanted because "i was the bride!"
There were people surrounding me who loved and cherished me.
It was a night that i will never forget!!
Thank you girls!!
SERIOUSLY IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST WEEKENDS EVER!

and so much more.
celebrating love,

Our adventure in love,
marriage
and happiness
continues to be the best thing ever invented by God.
marriage
and happiness

And goodness I`m glad we are Team Pancakes
because we work so well together.
because we work so well together.
I can`t wait to get to 52 Weeks of Love and 365 days of Marriage
but i am pausing today to enjoy where we are because without now,
there would be no tomorrow!
Thank you for the amazing anniversary dinner last night.
You treat me so well...all the time.

300 Days of Love
Dear Mr. Pancakes,
I can't believe we are at 300 days of love!
Time just seems to fly while having having fun.
This month we celebrate 4 years of knowing each other.
Since the first day we talked, we haven't stopped talking and i hope we never do!
This is what i wrote almost 4 years ago in my journal:
2/25/2008
"I met a guy last week and i must say i am smitten.
We spoke for about 3.5 hours closer to 4 hours
and the whole entire time we were laughing and just having a good time!"
I cannot believe that "the guy" who had me "smitten" has become my husband and future!
Life sure has a way of happening to us in the best kind of ways...
Here's to many many more days!!
Love, Mrs. Pancakes!

240 Days of Love
| Our caketopper...isn't cute! |
Dear Mr. Pancakes,
Today, we celebrate 8 months of marriage.
I can't believe how quickly our one year of marriage is passing by.
I hope it doesn't mean we won't be newlyweds after the first year...because
I'm enjoying this period in our marriage so very much.
Every month is better than the one before...
In two more days we will celebrate our 1st year of Christmas together as a married couple.
Our 4th Christmas together as a couple.
And every year i cannot believe God has blessed me with the most perfect gift
in a man, friend, husband and future father like yourself.
My prayer for today is that God continues to bless us abundantly and beyond measure always.
Let us continue to hold onto each other as we look towards Him always.

210 Days of Love!
I cannot wait to celebrate 365 days and 52 weeks of love with you all coming up next year,
but in the meantime, today, Mr. Pancakes and i celebrate 210 days of love!
I cannot believe how fast the days are flying by
but everyday brings more joys and blessings.
We continue to live, love and laugh always.
To celebrate 210 days of love,
i thought i would reminisce a little on the 5 AMAZING days
we spent on our honeymoon in Barbados.
It was magical in every single way.
We felt like we were on a secluded island!
We enjoyed gorgeous weather and views,
The ocean and skies were blue with white sands...
We ate delicious meals everyday,
walked on the beach and just enjoyed each other's company.
We didn't want to come back and often try to come up with reasons to return to LIVE!
We fell in love with the island
and fell in love with each other even more!
