Grammy Glam..

Good Monday Friends...

I didn't watch the Grammys because I feel like it's not the same.

I remember being young and excited to watch the Grammys.

It was the thing to do on Sunday because it was all everyone was going to talk about the next day...

Maybe there is a sense of nostalga too because the Grammys reminds of me when music was good...

And fun...maybe I'm just getting old....

Anywho...I was much impressed with the fashion at the Grammys....

Despite the letter from Executives warning attendees to dress appropriately...

I feel like people pushed the envelope in a good way...

Here are a few of my favs....

Beyonce---Classic Black & White...simple elegance

Katy Perry---her dress was EVERYTHING!!!

Rihanna---HATED her date but she looked lovely on the outside...

Adele---Lovely....i want this dress!!!

Kelly Rowland---wowza....it was a very sexy dress indeed!!

Solange---loved the pop shoes, the dress, the hair

Inauguration Day Fashion

It was great watching all the fun and festivities of Inauguration Day.

But of course...i was blown away by the fashions.

Here goes...

Beyonce is not my favorite person out there 

but she wowed on Inauguration Day with her fashion.

The dress, the green jewelry, the hair...everything was on point.

And Jay-Z has seriously never looked better.

He needs to wear more suits...so handsome!!!

First Lady...loved her jacket and the melt...classic!

The hair...not a fan but her boots...classic!!

The First Couple...classic...and i love how they are matching their blues.

Sasha and Malia....I love the color coordination...it was just lovely!

I need to find Sasha's scarf....gorgeous!!

Nancy Pelosi's coat was everything...I want one ASAP!!!

And Joe Biden...just because I think he is a good looking older gentleman!!

Kelly Clarkson...I loved her colors too.  And she is just beaming!

First Lady's gown..i LOVE how they display love...so sweet.

Golden Ladies

Good Monday Morning Friends...

i wanted to be the fashion police this morning 

and critique the Golden Ladies at the Golden Globes.

Some of the ladies hit it out of the ballpark...while others didn't even make it to the ballpark.

So here are my picks this morning...

Btw...am I the only that missed seeing Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt?

Yay Ladies

Jennifer Lopez...Jlo....she. brings. it. every. single. time.  

Her accessory of Casper Smart...not so cute but whateves.

She looked gorgeous...i honestly think the dress looked better in person that it photographs...

Just because i LOVE Sophia Vergara...
it wasn't the best dress of the night but it was gorgeous on her.

Jessica Alba...looked amazing...can't believe she has two kids...

I think Kristen Bell's glow made this dress...she looked stunning!!

 

Naomi Watts....she just looks beautiful...all the time.

I would so be best friends with her...

Amy Adams...i would LOVE whatever she was wearing...but she looked gorgeous!

Nay Ladies

Anne Hathaway..because she was up for best actress...

i thought she would have a much cuter dress...

but oh Anne...maybe in a different color...she just looked sickly!

Eva Longoria...too much going on.

Halle Berry...always brings it but this dress was not great for her skin tone...

Jessica Chasten...never heard of her until recently so i will give her a pass....

but man she needs a better stylist.

I love Claire Danes...but this was not the most flattering dress...
it just didn't do anything.

I love the beading but i think Kerry Washington could have done better.  

And the hair...wasn't working!

Lena Dunham...the only thing working here is the color...

Rachel Weisz...i know she didn't want to upstage her husband,
the handsome Daniel Craig but ijdgi (i just don't get it)!!!

Sienna Miller...not sure what's kind of statement
she was trying to make but very unflattering!!

But on a serious note..congrats to all the winners...until the Oscars.....

Falling...

I completely missed the first day of Fall and the end of Summer 

but i thought i would still share some of the Fall fashions i am falling for...

that's a lot of "f" alliterations but definitely fun!

Before i go to the fashions...can i share a little??

i had my first cup of Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks

 and maybe it's me (because while i was pregnant, i didn't go to Starbucks) 

but did the prices go up on their drinks? 

The Tall looked extra small but fairly pricey...

such a disappointment!  

Have i been out of the Starbucks loop for too long?

Anyway onto Falling...

I won't be returning back to work until November

 but i am still determined to purchase a few Fall favorites and they include:

Not an Olsen Twin but the sweater she is wearing.

An over sized sweater...in a brown or beige color...

If I Could...Abolish Men's Fashion Trend!

I wanted to have a little fun today with If I Could...

I was listening to the news tday and a new men's fashion trend caught my eye.

Mantyhose or Brosiery...

however you want to refer to it....they are Tights for Men.

Really? 

You ask...yes...there are such things out there.

I had no idea either.

Designer Emilio Cavallini has a whole bunch of them for $27...

if you are thinking of a gift for your special someone.

But seriously,

If I Could...Abolish Men's Fashion Trend...

it would definitely be hosiery for men!

Would You Really Let Your Child Wear This?

Before i start this post, let me preface it by saying i LOVE Gwen Stefani.  

I love her personality, persistance and all the passion she infuses in her music, 

LAMB bags, role as wife and mother...love it.  

But and this is a big BUT i came across her Target clothing line and i had to scratch my head and say, 

"Huh? Really Gwen, these are what you came up with?"

I know the name is Harajuku but the kids that will be wearing these are real kids NOT cartoon characters.

And you may have fashioned these clothing items after your children's own sense of style...

but your kids are not regular everyday kids and you were making clothes for regular kids right?

Not halloween costumes for mini rockstars.

I mean really WHERE is this little guy going? 

I know ONLY one little boyd that wears a bow-tie 

and i don't even know if he would wear a tartan bow-tie!

Most of these clothing items all look like Halloween costumes.

Where is this little girl going?

I mean this outfit could be cute BUT it just has such a hard look

that i feel doesn't belong on a little girl.

I am not a mom yet but i remember when my little niece and nephew were kids, 

their mom would put them in clothing that were cute and age appropriate. 

And Gwen managed to have some in her collection but sadly NOT enough.

Doesn't this little girl look like a normal-looking little girl?

If i was a mom i would definitely NOT be heading to Target to purchase any of these items 

except for maybe the cute dress above.

Fall Loves & Favorites!

Everyone in the blog world is sharing their fall favorites.  I am not sure if i have a big budget for my fall clothes.  Trying to pay off one of our last two debts by the end of the year.  However a girl can dream and fantasize.  Perhaps i can purchase one very cute sweater.  I thought i would join in the FUN and fantasize a little!
