Longlazysunday: Week 28

This longlazysunday is definitely not lazy at all.  We are trying to catch up on sleep because Baby Pancakes is just not sleeping well and Church is being impacted because we haven't been in the last three weeks...I miss being ministered too!! Early afternoon I took Baby Pancakes to the park and that was fun although he wanted to play with my keys more than play on the slide but we have fun...well at least I did going down the slide with him.  I can't wait until he gets excited about going to the park.  The test of the afternoon I'm at the office trying to get some work done.  You know those days you take on a task and realize maybe I've taken on too much...but you realize you have to complete the task you took on...that's what I'm doing this Sunday. It's going to be a long afternoon but at least Monday is a holiday and I can't spend the day with my Mr. & Baby Pancakes.  In the meantime here are my favorite moments of the day...matching hats at the park, playing with keys, the open road leading me to work and not to the beach and working hard with a bolthouse!! Longlazysunday: Week 28

This longlazysunday has been a truly lazy one. I'm finding that we end up spending the weekend catching up on sleep and unfortunately church ends up suffering because we are too tired to get up and ready for church. We really need to so a better job getting ourselves together with a routine on Sundays. I need to have me some church during the week. We ended up having French toast and watching Creflo Dollar but that's still doesn't make up for an awesome sermon by our pastor.  Baby Pancakes has been spending the weekend climbing things...when did that skill happen. I can't keep up with all the new things he is doing now...my baby is getting so much older everyday. We have to watch him like a hawk now but it's fun seeing him be so adventurous!! Longlazysunday: Week 27

Happy Mother's Day to all the awesome mothers out there!! Hope you are enjoying your day. Thus far this has been a great first Mother's Day!!! My little man and I slept in the morning and then cuddled up watching movies and just being thankful for this precious experience I get to be part of. Because of Baby Pancakes...I get to enjoy this special day and I look into his beautiful eyes and see him smile and my heart is filled with so much joy it can fill the entire world infinitely!! Longlazysunday: Week 26

This has been a long weekend because we had the opportunity to play tourists this weekend. Our friends from TN came to visit and were took them around town and showed them the sites and sounds in our area. Of course there is never enough time to do everything you want to do...but nonetheless it was fun to spend time with friends/family. We can't wait to see them again!! We just dropped them off at the airport and hoping to spend the rest of today enjoying a longlazysunday!!!

Longlazysunday: Week 25

Longlazysunday is all about Spring cleaning...And of course my little man is helping along the way. The weather is not helping at all however because it feels more like winter outside...I am however trying to get in the Spring mode...at least by cleaning!! Longlazysunday: Week 24

This has been one of those weekends I could use a re-do because I feel like it's ending too quickly. I need one more day before I have to go back to work. I feel like we didn't do much but do a lot of running around. I can't wait when Baby Pancakes is old enough that weekends are all about doing activities with him! Nowadays I just drag him along to all the errands I have to run. Today was spent doing laundry and getting the house clean...sometimes I feel like we are a family of 10 instead of 3. Anyway I'm trying to make the most of this longlazysunday even though it's anything but lazy! Favorite moment of today was picking up some fresh fruits from our local market...I'm currently obsessed with avocados...yummy!!! Hope your Sunday is long and lazy!!

Longlazysunday: Week 23

This totally did not post last night...arghhh. oh well!! We've truly been lazy this Sunday! There is something beautiful about spending the whole day with my family of three! I feel so blessed every single day but especially on Sundays. Here are a few moments from our longlazysunday!! Longlazysunday: Week 22

It's first Sunday and we didn't make it to church because little man decided to fall asleep just as we were about to get ready and it just didn't make sense to wake him up...it's too much of an effort for him to sleep. I'm a little sad that my spring break is done and I feel like I didn't really relax the way I needed too! Next time I have plenty of time from work, I need to travel somewhere and actually take a vacation...staying home is clearly not relaxing because I'm always running around. Anyway one of the good things I managed to do is have some quality time with Baby Pancakes and Mr. Pancakes. And i did some retail therapy including new shoes and a few pieces!! Today I ended off my week by enjoying the afternoon with the family doing some last minute things around time. Baby Pancakes got some new cloth diapers and some snacks "mum mums"--his god brother used to eat them. Anyway Baby Pancakes is tuckered out and I am about to enjoy my Panera lunch...woohoo...it's going to be an awesome longlazysunday!! What are you up to this longlazysunday??

Longlazysunday: Week 21

Resurrection Sunday...we made it to church a little late but just in time to hear the message that He Has Risen...and because He died and rose again we can live!! The rest of the Sunday is all about being lazy and spending time with each other. We had an awesome brunch with Grandpa Pancakes and that tired out little man...poor baby! And now we are off to spend the afternoon with our 96year old Church Granny! Today is definitely a blessed day! Hope your Easter Sunday has been awesome thus far! Longlazysunday: Week 20

Good Afternoon ladies!! More than anything I want to be lazy this longlazysunday but my little sweetheart of a man is definitely not having it. He has been up since 6am! So we went to early Church service which was awesome because we were able to do some running around. And still have most of the day ahead of us. We are home now and Baby Pancakes is moving all around the place, trying to knock the tv down and I am so tired I need a nap!!! These are the days I wish I had my mom around. Mr. Pancakes is taking a nap and I'm waiting for my turn! One fun thing about today so far was my McDonalds breakfast!! What have you been up this longlazysunday???

Longlazysunday: Week 19

Longlazysunday is all about recovery. The half marathon yesterday was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I was definitely more in shape last year while pregnant than now but I crossed the finish line just under four hours!!! Not bad for someone that did not train at all. The only thing different this year is that my recovery is coming along a lot faster than last year. I did feel like a ton truck hit me after the race but at least I can move around a little bit more today. Baby Pancakes is definitely taking an advantage of my slow movements by getting into trouble around the house. What are you up to this longlazysunday??

Longlazysunday: Week 18

This longlazysunday it's all about spending time doing a little shopping with little man as my companion. And thank goodness for elevators because there is something scary about taking the escalator with a stroller and a baby by yourself. i know many people do it everyday...call me chicken but it just seems so dangerous! On a happier note, Baby Pancakes has been having fun at the mall...enjoying the sights and sounds and I feel blessed enjoying this longlazysunday with my son! What are you up to this longlazysunday?

Longlazysunday: Week 17

Week 17 of our Longlazysunday is all about sharing time in the car today visiting family and friends. We had some exciting things happen this morning where we locked ourselves out of the car but we are fine...thank God for road side assistance....if you don't have it get it...it's a life saver. Longlazysunday: Week 16

This longlazysunday is sunny and cool outside and all I want to do is sleep. Last night was perhaps one of the worst sleeping nights ever for Baby Pancakes. As soon as we would put him in his crib, he would wake up...that's what I get for trying co-sleeping. I hope tonight is a better night but in the meantime we will enjoy our longlazysunday enjoying the views from inside and trying to catch some naps along the way! What are you doing this Sunday?

Longlazysunday: Week 15

There are not enough days like these but my family and I are having one of the best longlazysundays ever! As my man and son slumber, I'm reminded that life is really about the small pleasures of this world. And I feel blessed. How are you spending your Sunday?

Longlazysunday: Week 14

The longlazysunday was spent going to enjoying a wonderful pancakes breakfast, attending church, visiting family and enjoying each other's company. The best LLS moment was seeing Baby Pancakes being held by his 96year old granny! These hands have experienced so much over the years and now they've experienced holding Baby Pancakes! It's the best feeling ever!! I'm reminded how amazing life is!

Longlazysunday: Week 13

There are no words because today is one of the best days where football fans get together to enjoy a good game, great food, awesome company and this being Baby Pancakes' first Superbowl...we are excited. He has a nondenominational football shirt because he doesn't have a team yet but he is still pumped and ready to go!!

Baby Pancakes was dedicated to The Lord today and what a beautiful service. It was beautiful seeing Baby Pancakes with his GodMother being as cute as he wants to be. My favorite moment of today by far was watching them together. How about...what was your LLS Moment of the day??

Longlazysunday: Week 10

This longlazysunday is all about being cozy in the bed...it's foggy outside, damp and nothing like winter. We had some awesome pancakes this morning which always makes everything sunny and happy!! Now I'm enjoying the rest of the day sleeping in, watching football, old episodes of Project Runaway, playing with the family and just savoring the small moments!! What's your LLS moment??
